The Jaguar XF has been named BusinessCar's Executive Car of the Year for a second consecutive year, while XJ has taken the title of Luxury Car of the Year in the 2013 BusinessCar Awards. It's a great achievement for Jaguar to receive these awards, not least because they reflect the honest opinions of corporate and fleet professionals and customers, people who put quality, lasting value and performance under exceptional scrutiny. The XF range gained further appeal in 2012 with the introduction of the new Sportbrake and the debut of new high-efficiency 2.2-litre diesel engines with eight-speed automatic transmission and Stop/Start technology, delivering 55.4mpg official combined cycle fuel economy. The XJ line-up has also been rendered even more desirable for 2013, gaining a new 3.0-litre V6 supercharged petrol engine and benefiting from the same fuel and emissions-efficient automatic transmission and Stop/Start system as the XF. Its luxury status has been enhanced with DAB digital tuner reception being made a standard feature, the introduction of an advanced Meridian premium audio system and the option of a new Comfort Suspension Pack across the entire range.

Range Rover Evoque proprietors will likely be jealous. Matching the outside, the interior gets some welcome updates. The very first bits to capture the eye are the red-hued aluminium highlights on the middle bunch, the gearshift button, and the steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Complementing the red steel highlights is red French stitching all through the cabin. It is on the dashboard, centre armrest, steering wheel, and seats. Speaking of the chairs, the black natural leather is not merely contrasted by the red sewing, but in addition by red piping that travels the outside of the seating. The next-row table is treated to the same theme. Besides the shade variations, the interior is no different than the standard Discovery Sport. The minimal style is ergonomic and modern. Sadly, the complaint I had in the course of my examination drive of the 2015 Discovery Sport nevertheless contains true: The gearshift knob requires a lot of useful real estate property, in spite of its stately physical appearance.

Here鈥檚 a tip - those wheel cameras also make parallel parking an absolute breeze! The interior is heavy on the leather and wood trim integrated with the required soft-touch synthetic materials. The headliner is made of Alston suede-cloth material, which is great. You get the feel of suede, but it鈥檚 much more durable for family use. With a vehicle in the class of a Range Rover, things come down to the details, and it鈥檚 clear that Rover sweats those until they鈥檙e perfect. Eventually, you have to get to the numbers. Range Rovers are great, but they don鈥檛 come cheap. 67,445 (with all fees included). On the Range Rover Sport, the HSE package delivers the panoramic sunroof, full leather seating, 20-inch wheels (compared to 19s on the base model) and some additional wood trim and interior color options. On the full size Range Rover, you get about the same bump in features (including full front seat climate control and heated rear seats) but you鈥檙e starting from a better base feature set. Honestly, the base SE trim on Range Rover Sport is still very nice, and I鈥檇 think twice before paying for the HSE upgrade. Same with the Range Rover - they want a lot for the upgrade. But I encourage you to try each of the models and decide for yourself. Don鈥檛 forget that there will still be option packages to select in addition to the trim level.

Highway mileage is pegged at 29 mpg, with combined ratings of 25 mpg. The lineup added a new top trim, the SV Autobiography model. It included two-tone paint, a higher level of exterior detailing, and everything Range Rover can throw at an interior. The SV Autobiography also got an engine upgrade, using the 550 hp version of the corporate V-8 that was developed by SVO for the Range Rover Sport SVR. The SVAutobiography replaced the Autobiography Black. For 2018, the Range Rover saw a host of changes inside. Most traditional buttons were replaced by a dual 10.0-inch touchscreen arrangement that consolidated controls without confusing functions. For the 2020 model year, the Range Rover adds a new mild-hybrid inline-6 engine that eventually will spread to other Range Rover vehicles. Its V-8 and turbodiesel V-6 engines carry over. Over the years, the Range Rover has managed to add layers of refinement and on-road performance while holding on to its rugged abilities.

Thanks to a U.S. 2013 Land Rover Range Rover introduced overseas. As we previously reported, this is the model's fourth generation, but you might not know it at a glance. If you thought the new Range Rover would follow the lead of the dramatically styled Range Rover Evoque, a smaller model altogether, you'll be disappointed. It looks a lot like the previous Range Rover, though both the nose and windshield have been swept back to improve aerodynamics. The rear also is more rounded. The once-functional fender vents are now merely hinted at by vertical creases in the front doors. Hidden air intakes have migrated up into the hood itself, which Rover says improves deep-water wading capability by almost 8 inches to 35.4 inches. We checked out a Range Rover HSE as well as a top Autobiography Edition. Both had black tops with integrated panoramic glass, which kills the floating-roof effect that usually comes with blacked-out pillars, but you can also order body- or contrast-colored roofs to exploit the floating illusion seen on the Range Rover Evoque. On the inside, the changes are less subtle.

It's now all high-quality stuff -- properly worthy of the Range Rover name. Up front, the Evoque is spacious, with comfortable seats, while rear occupants get a little more legroom than before. People in the back still have to deal with tight headroom thanks to the sloping roofline -- all in the name of fashion. Other improvements include a larger center console, glove box and wider trunk, the latter offering 21.5 cubic feet of cargo carrying space that grows to 50.5 with the second-row seats folded down. If you're a fan of minimalist cabins, the Evoque might speak your language mainly because it uses Land Rover's InControl Touch Pro Duo system to quarterback infotainment functions. Instead of a gaggle of hard buttons, dual 10-inch high-definition touchscreens control onboard navigation, a 10-speaker Meridian audio setup, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth and more. Occasionally the system still experiences brief lag between a finger press and something happening on the screen, but Land Rover's system is a lot better than before. Aside from that hiccup, the interface is intuitive to work through with a home screen that sports big tiles to easily get to the most commonly used menus.

Visibility for all occupants is helped by the narrow front A-pillars, deep front and rear screens, and large side windows. Although only 50 mm longer than the outgoing model, the all-new Freelander 2 effectively moves up a class in interior packaging compared with its predecessor. 鈥淭here is a real sense of space in Freelander 2,鈥?says Geoff Upex. The vehicle鈥檚 height and tall doors improve entry and egress compared with normal cars. The 鈥榗lean sill鈥?system also helps keep mud and general road grime off occupants鈥?clothes. Freelander 2鈥檚 seats offer good under-thigh and back support, plus strong side bolsters to give excellent lateral support. The front seat frames are similar to those of Range Rover Sport - big car seats for a cabin that looks as though it belongs in a big car. The upright seating provides a comfortable driving position and increases usable legroom. A variety of seat fabrics and colourways are available, including leather on the top-of-the-range models.

Yup yup yup . Well the car was finished and well the center arm rest was scratched again. Oh we can buff it out said the sales manager . NO YOU CAN REPLACE IT NOW ! How many times do you buff scratches out of a car in the same spot before re-painting them ? We then left luckily we didn't go far before discovering the other mistake. They removed the tread plate on the floor and left it on the floor with extra pieces . Nothing like a huge hole in the floor luckily it popped back in but still can you not finish the job that you started ? 85K on a car you would get great customer service. This is a shout out to Zoran Bosiljkic ! Greats person all around , nice , polite , courteous & not pushy. Best salesman we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with.
