Land Rover Towing Capacities And Basic Towing Tips
1. Always consult your owner鈥檚 manual for details before towing with your Land Rover. 2. Modifications to your Land Rover or your trailer, including the use of aftermarket towing equipment, can impact the maximum safe towing capacity. 3. Never exceed the maximum towing or tongue weight capacities of the vehicle, the trailer, or the hitch setup. 4. Always know the maximum capacities of each link in the towing system: the vehicle, the receiver, the hitch bar, the tow ball, the trailer coupler, and the trailer itself (and the capacity of its tires). 5. Always use the correct size tow ball for the hitch coupler. When buying a new tow ball, consult the markings on the ball itself, not on the package. 6. Always make sure all lights, turn signals, brakes, and other electrical equipment is working properly on both your Land Rover and on the trailer. 7. Make sure all tires are properly inflated and in good condition. 8. Make sure your trailer axles are greased regularly.
2/Martin and Tiddy and three more returning guests to their safari holiday company have just come back from a couple of days with Ken and Marion. They were lucky enough to spend 戮 hour watching a pride of I think 8 lions on the ranch amongst many other good close sightings of all the big game out here. For Martin and Tiddy it was 鈥榓nother excellent sighting,鈥?For their guests; obviously it was 5 star, 鈥榳hat they had hoped to see.鈥?No Surprises for us there. For Ken however, a white Kenyan born and bred out here and a great appreciator of his wonderful country; this was his second sighting of such a group of lions! The first being many years back in the Serengeti, Tanzania! We visited them a few years back at this base once previously and on the evening game drive; were delighted to come across two brother cheetahs playing on and off a shepherd鈥檚 shelter roof. We were able to drive around all sides of this small building and 鈥榡oin in鈥?the frolics of these two fascinating cats.
45,000 slugged with a 3 per cent charge. 150,000 to 9 per cent. At the time the head of the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI), Tony Weber, called out the hike as a blatant money grab which is targeting families with a new luxury car tax. 鈥淲hat鈥檚 more disturbing is that it is a tax on safety and technology. It targets vehicles that introduce innovative safety and technical features to the market,鈥?says Weber. 鈥淎nd the vehicle which attracts the most LCT is a Toyota LandCruiser 鈥?a popular vehicle for families and landholders. 100,000. Vehicles with up to four cylinders are stung with a 2-4 per cent charge, five and six-cylinder cars are hit with a 3-5 per cent charge and anything with more cylinders receives a 4-6 per cent charge. Electric and hybrid cars are charged just 2 per cent. There are other factors at play, though.
When it comes to fullsize, ultra-luxurious SUVs, you can't do much better than a Range Rover. We've gushed over the biggestLand Rover several times, praising this latest generation's powerful engines, luxurious interiors, and ability to climb both mountainsides and social ladders all while looking fantastic. Capable as it may be, Land Rover's mission with the Range Rover is to also create an absolutely top-shelf luxury experience, something that's perhaps best illustrated here with the company's new long-wheelbase model. In previous generations, rear seat accommodations were always a sore spot, with compromised legroom and tricky ingress and egress. By stretching the wheelbase by nearly eight inches, this longer Rangie now offers an additional 7.3 inches of legroom. And with a new executive rear seating package that replaces the traditional bench for a proper two-plus-two arrangement, the back seats now feature an additional 17 degrees of recline. 146,000 as-tested - but combined with the more luxurious rear seat accommodations, that hefty price tag actually seems like sort of a bargain.
