Gerry McGovern, Design Director and Chief Creative Officer, Land Rover, said: 鈥淭he Discovery Concept vehicle represents a Vision of our future family of leisure SUVs. The advanced interior is both spacious and versatile with a whole array of innovative features; this multi-lifestyle versatility is epitomized by highly reconfigurable seating. By folding the seats flat or sliding them forward or back, via the touchscreen menu, the vehicle can be converted from its standard seven-seat layout to a six-seat, five-seat or even a four-seat 鈥榣imousine鈥?mode. Detachable, carry-away stroller-style luggage is seamlessly integrated into the vehicle doors, while accessories cleverly integrated into the seatbacks offer high levels of convenience to the passengers seated behind. The theme of versatility continues with the materials used in the Discovery Vision Concept interior. The cabin is finished in two innovative types of washable and water- and oil-repellent Foglizzo premium leather that can be cleaned in seconds. Wood veneer on the floors and instrument panel and bespoke accessories lined in Harris Tweed help to create a warm, uniquely British feeling of quality and craftsmanship. The Discovery Vision Concept offers a window into the advanced research projects which are underway at Jaguar Land Rover.

The Nissan X-Trail SUV is a 4.6 meter length available. Structurally remains the same as the model that came to market in 2001, which in 2008 was renovated aesthetically and mechanically. In 2010 he received cosmetically, trim and engine range. In September 2012 the equipment is updated slightly. The X-Trail is available exclusively with a diesel engine 2.0 dCi 150 hp, previously had a choice other diesel engine of 173 hp and a 169 hp gasoline and is always linked to an AWD system. The average consumption of fuel is 6.4 l/100 km with manual gearbox 6 speed. An automatic is available as many relationships-cost 2000 Euros, with the average consumption is 7.1 l/100 km. Both gearboxes were revised in 2010 in order to reduce fuel consumption, in the modified manual transmission developments in automatic and decreased friction between the components. The Nissan X-Trail with 150 hp diesel engine is 6100 Euros more expensive than a Renault Koleos with the same engine and similar equipment and is priced a little lower than a Land Rover Freelander 2 and a Mitsubishi Outlander.

It was meant to replace the existing Land Rover Discovery designs and boasted suicide doors, a transparent hood and laser-supported lamps. However, these features are not expected to be included in production line models in the near future. The new 2015 Discovery Sport vehicle from Land Rover features optional five-plus-two seating. It displays highly attractive modern aerodynamic lines, advanced operational capacities and enhanced control. This model combines heights of high fashionability with an excellent driving experience. Years of new designs, revisions and structural innovations have made Land Rover the ultimate in modern SUVs. Entering previously unknown and undeveloped stylistic and engineering realms, this popular, fashionable and practical utility vehicle has exhibited a unique blend of expert operational technology and attractive user comforts and features. Land Rover executives and designers have achieved their goal of producing vehicle models capable of high quality urban and rural driving, both on and off-road during all kinds of weather. Especially when you are driving into unfamiliar territory, only the Land Rover will be sure to get you safely to tomorrow's new terrain. Land Rover has been owned by various companies over the years, including Rover, Ford Motor, Tata Motors and Jaguar. United States automobile engineers and designers have played a very large role through the years in developing unique Land Rover exterior and interior styling as well as operational technology. Today's drivers are intent on hopping in their rugged and fashionable Land Rover utility vehicles and driving wherever their needs, desires or momentary whims may take them. Only when driving a sturdy, hi-tech model like the latest Land Rover brand are they assured of the best possible driving experience and travel time.

Jaguar Land Rover says the storied Defender 4x4 SUV will return to the U.S. 鈥淭here are a handful of automobiles that are beloved around the world and stand for a brand, a country and a distinct way of life. The Land Rover Defender is such a singular vehicle,鈥?Kim McCullough, vice president-marketing for Jaguar Land Rover North America, says in a statement. Beloved by celebrities and royalty, but not by government safety advocates, the Defender 90 and 110 wagon were pulled from the U.S. 1997. Land Rover decided against modifying the low-volume vehicle to fit it with front and side-impact airbags, which became a U.S. The automaker had only been able to import a small number, because the vehicle, basically unchanged from 1948 through 2016, fell shy of government safety standards. Land Rover had fitted those 1990s Defender 110s with a full external roll cage to help it meet roof-crush standards before being asked to comply with airbag rules. Wards Intelligence data shows some 6,945 Defenders were sold in the U.S. The vehicle also was sold from the 1940s through 1970s in the U.S. Rover left the U.S. 1970s because of increasing safety and emission standards coupled with low volumes. All Defenders that came to the U.S. 1990s were powered by a General Motors-designed all-aluminum V-8 that first entered production in the 1961 Buick Special.

Showcases the modern design language of the future Discovery family. Pioneering Jaguar Land Rover research technologies feature, including smart glass, intelligent laser headlamps and gesture control. Previews future Terrain Response system with Remote Control Drive, Laser Terrain Scanning and Transparent Bonnet head-up display. Highly versatile, with innovative fold-and-slide configurable seating system for seven people, deployable event platform and social bench. GAYDON, UK, 15 APRIL 2014: Land Rover today revealed its Discovery Vision Concept SUV in New York. 鈥淲e announced at the Geneva Motor Show in March that the Discovery family is set to evolve. And it is apt that in the 25th anniversary year of the original Discovery that we preview how this evolution will take us forward into a daring new era. TheDiscoveryVision Concept alludes to its unique lineage with design elements such as the stepped roof. Far greater attention than ever before has been given to creating relevant versatility combined with compelling design. This is a radical and sharply focused approach to embodying Land Rover鈥檚 vision of the ultimate leisure SUV.

There's just a hair more than 26 cubic feet of space between the second row seatback and the Sportage's hatch, and that number expands to almost 55 cubes with the seat folded forward. The 2015 Kia Sportage does not introduce any new features. Despite their simple nature, the 2015 Kia Sportage's control set is quite effective at keeping you warm, toasty, and entertained out on the road. I particularly liked the ability to 'de-list' satellite radio stations that I never listen to, which meant skipping past them while scrolling through the channel list using the rotary knob under the Sportage's LCD touchscreen. I also found it easy to sync my phone with the Kia using Bluetooth, allowing me to stream music and access hands-free calling almost immediately upon entering the vehicle. If I were being critical, I would say that the sound quality of the stereo system itself wasn't all that impressive, but that's true of most vehicles in the SUV's class.

Off the black, she performed reasonably well, the major hindrance being the extended bumper and side skirts which deprived it of its approach, ramp break over and departure angles, reducing them significantly. Ground clearance of 210mm and wading depth of 500mm are impressive in this segment. The large turning radius of 11.4m is again a compromise in tight spots. Land Rover now has a brilliant Terrain Response system which is mated to a full-time 4x4 gearbox with an electronic centre coupling comprising of six forward gears with Command Shift (aka tip-tronic). A knob (very awkwardly placed behind the gear shifter) controls the off-road terrain settings namely, general driving, grass/gravel/snow, mud and ruts and sand. The hill descent control system is smart and automatically engages when descending hills in case you forget to switch it on. Our test car came with all black, dull interiors, which made the cabin look small and dreary. A 6-disc in-dash CD changer with nine speakers provided entertainment. Driver and passenger seats are comfortable and have excellent lumbar support. People taller than 6 feet would have problems getting into the rear seats as the legroom is minimal.

Soon after that they took my military driver's license away, never to be returned. But here we are durn near 30 years later and there's another short wheely Rover sitting in my dooryard here on our farm in Maine. How did that happen? All of which sounds like a very fun rest of the summer to me. And at the end of it all we'll have a farm truck and local run-around car that ought to last for twenty more years. Much needed, since I just found terminal rust and a very poor set of brake rotors and calipers on our 1997 Ford Escort, and since the Nissan can't possibly last more than two or three more years. 12 set of pads and some elbow grease and then just run out the remaining life in the car before scrapping it. One, at the most two more winters. We'll put our money in the Land Rover instead. It should keep its value and even improve in condition and reliability over the years as I plug away at it. One day we'll even send away to Sheffield for a galvanized frame. I'll die before this truck does. Hats off to Aimee for believing, or at least pretending to believe in the Land Rover project. I've officially used up my stock of wifely patience for the year, plus all my birthdays and Christmas presents for the forseeable future.
