Mazda RX-8 PZ: More Focused Coupe

Mazda RX-8 PZ: More Focused Coupe

This is to ensure exclusivity and power of the new vehicle. The company also contemplated on reducing the roll and pitch and to making a flatter cornering attitude hence special Bilstein dampers and Eibach coil springs were used. Moreover, Prodrive specifications were satisfied. The spring rates were also increased by 60 percent and the mono-tube dampers were given tighter body control. However, the superb compliance over ridges and bumps in the road was maintained. Mazda RX-8 PZ also comes with a bunch of unique features such as 18-inch OZ alloy wheels, rear silencer and aerodynamic rear spoiler, lowered suspension, grille mesh inserts on front and rear bumpers, door mirrors, and the one-of-a-kind 'Prodrive' badging. The distinguishing features of the latest of Mazda family include its color which is available in solid Brilliant Black and metallic Galaxy Grey. In addition, it also features black leather seat trim, plus black leather-wrapped steering wheel, gear knob and hand-brake lever, which make it more classy and sophisticated. The sport utility market continues to expand despite higher than normal gas prices. Because, these do-almost-everything-vehicles provide just what consumers want. Sure, sales are down right now, but they will recover as more economical vehicles enter the mix. Fortunately, not all are gas guzzlers either. Chevrolets Equinox and the Land Rover Freelander are two that come to mind. Lets take a look at these two compact SUVs. Chevrolet Equinox 聳 I like the looks of the Equinox, Chevys car-based SUV that is only slightly smaller than the mid-size TrailBlazer. This means that the Equinox is built chiefly for the road, so if you want an off road experience you would need to opt for the TrailBlazer or get the Freelander. Okay, I digress. The Equinox is available as either a front wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicle. Seating five passengers, the Equinox comes equipped with a 3.4L V6 that produces 185hp. The engine is paired with a five-speed automatic transmission; no manual transmission is available. A traction control system is standard with the front wheel drive Equinox while all models come equipped with ABS and electric steering. Standard equipment for the Equinox includes power windows, power mirrors, and power locks with Remote Keyless Entry; AM/FM stereo and CD player with six speakers; and air conditioning. The Equinox has received a 5 star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for frontal crash and side-impact crash tests. Starting prices for the Equinox are very competitive with comparable models in its class. Base MSRP for the FWD is just over 22K; 24K for the AWD. Land Rover Freelander 聳 The smallest of all Land Rovers is the Freelander, a compact full time all wheel drive vehicle available as either a 3 or 5 door SUV. Unlike the Equinox, the Freelander has full off road capabilities as do every Land Rover model.

The engine is a supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 that makes 510 horsepower and 461 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is an 8-speed automatic. There are other variants in the full size Range Rover, including an economical V-6, but get real. You want the big guy. The fuel efficiency is characteristically poor (I never got better than 15 mpg driving around Brooklyn), but I didn't really care. Everything else about this SUV had me in its thrall. The two most important components of the Range Rover's success are its imperiously luxurious design and its precision performance off-road and on. You know you're in a big SUV because you sit above everything else on the road, and you feel wrapped in glass, with a better field of vision than any other car on the road. But once you fire up that V-8 and start weaving through traffic, the steering shrinks the SUV: It is sharper, more precise, better balanced than any other SUV, crossover, or even most sports cars on the road. No matter the road conditions, no matter the maneuver, there's never a moment where the steering doesn't place the big 5,000-pounder precisely where you want it.

And so, in 1966, development of a luxury Land Rover re-commenced. Before the year was out, the wagon project had grown into a five seat station wagon with P6 standards of comfort, on a 100 inch chassis that allowed unprecedented wheel travel. Designers were forced to develop a new gearbox capable of handling the torque of the new V8, a key change being the use of a lockable central differential rather than the dog-clutch mechanism used on the Land Rover. Long travel vertical coil spring suspension was fitted instead of the Land Rovers leaf springs to ensure a more refined ride. The second prototype featured a 2 door design, primarily in an attempt by Rover to reduce the cost of manufacturing the vehicle, although the resulting seat and seat belt arrangement made any such savings somewhat insignificant. Spen King and Gordon Bashford designed the body and interior, creating their own mock-up, with Rover stylist David Bache "cleaning up" the design with some very subtle surface treatments. Prototypes 3 to 6 quickly followed, the engineers determined to ensure the final release would leave no stone unturned in their quest to develop the ultimate "town and country" car.

The vents are made of sturdy-feeling plastic and move with incredible smoothness. If there was one part that made the LR2 feel expensive - it was the air vents (laugh all you want). The seats were very comfortable, and I found it quite easy to find a comfortable driving position. However, I found the side view mirrors weirdly positioned, and could not set them quite right; however, Melissa had no such problem. The steering was just the right size and had perfect feel to it - it was not over-assisted like so many other SUV鈥檚 and it controlled the car with purposeful precision. The overall cabin feel was very comfortable, with two overhead sunroofs, well isolated outside noises, and very well executed cabin. One note about the sunroofs: They are covered by mesh manual shades which can be closed even if the sunroof is open (a nice touch). However, the sunshade never blocks all the sunshine so the cabin easily overheats on a bright sunny day.

Range Rover Offers Limited, Luxurious SV Coupe To Atlanta Market

Range Rover Offers Limited, Luxurious SV Coupe To Atlanta Market

If you want to attract the most gazes at the school carpool line, Range Rover might be able to help with that. The British car company is introducing its most expensive and luxurious model to date - the 2019 Range Rover SV Coupe. Range Rover will only produce 999 of these hand-built family vehicles. One of the Range Rover SV Coupes was on exclusive display at Land Rover Buckhead last week. 鈥淎tlanta is one of the biggest car markets in the country,鈥?said Lorraine McKiniry with the Experiential Marketing Team at Jaguar Land Rover. 鈥淧eople here like their exclusive cars. They like their Land Rovers. The Range Rover SV Coupe program is also unique in that it allows owners to customize the vehicle with a variety of 鈥渄esign pack鈥?options. Customers can design a Coupe with a more traditional Range Rover look or give their vehicle a little more contemporary bling. 鈥淭he Range Rover SV Coupe is a celebration of the Range Rover bloodline,鈥?said Gerry McGovern, chief design officer for Land Rover and the designer of the vehicle at Land Rover Buckhead. After the model vehicle leaves Atlanta, it will continue on its tour through the summer, visiting cities including Miami, Los Angeles, and others. The coupe is powered by a 557 hp 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine, which is the most powerful engine currently offered on the full-size Range Rover, according to the company. Officials say the SV Coupe can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just five seconds and has a top speed around 165 mph. 鈥淭his is a meticulously honed vehicle that鈥檚 designed for SV clients who love driving,鈥?said Mark Stanton, special vehicle operations director. We desire highly motivated and talented military Veterans and Ex-Military members who are seeking a challenging and rewarding new career in the luxury and performance automobile industry. Experienced automotive service technicians who already have three or more years of professional experience, will find the FAST PACE program to be an excellent gateway to renewed growth and new opportunities as a certified Jaguar Land Rover Technician.

From the 2008 model year through 2012, the LR2 came with a 3.2-liter in-line six-cylinder engine that let it accelerate to 60 mph in about 8.4 seconds, within the range of other compact luxo-utes. The engine came coupled to a six-speed automatic with clean, effortless gear shifts, and it offered a manual-shift and a sport-shift mode. The LR2's Haldex all-wheel-drive system moves power around to all four corners, but it lacks the low-range transfer case of its big brother the LR4. The LR2 does have more than 8 inches of ground clearance, though. Having undergone only minor changes in its first five years on the market, the LR2 received a mid-cycle makeover for the 2013 model year. It still sports the crisp lines that distinguish it from the softer Audi, Volvo and BMW utes, and it's easily recognizable as a part of the Land Rover heritage on a smaller scale.

While some said that the car will get a bigger update than anticipated, we are very certain this isn鈥檛 the situation. The Discovery Sport is new, it looks keeping pace with their most recent models and it feels at least somewhat premium. The 2020 update will doubtlessly add to the range two or three new engines and additionally some new trim levels. The just a single we are certain of is the superior variation of the car. The smooth lines covered up by the wrap appear to indicate that the new car will get the adjusted, flush-fitting grille that we previously observed fitted to the full-sized Discovery. The new 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport will come back with a similar V-6 gas and diesel unit. The base will be a 3.0-liter V-6 turbocharged engine which produces 340 ponies and 332 pound-feet of torque. It is mated to a 8-speed programmed transmission and accompanies full-time all-wheel drive design.

STAY AWAY from Jaguar of Dallas. Wow, where do we start with the horrendous NEGATIVE STAR service experience at Land Rover Dallas? Hubby's less than 2 year old Discovery Sport's first warranty issue began with a check engine light and loose trim. It took LR Dallas 4 weeks to get us in because we requested a loaner car. LR Dallas kept our vehicle for 3 weeks, and when it was returned, we noticed epoxy drips all over the paint due to glueing the trim. Ana, the service (service used loosely here) advisor told us that they are not responsible and will buff out the epoxy if we paid for it. After several complaints, LR Dallas finally buffed out the epoxy marks. Fast forward 4 months, and Hubby smells antifreeze. We call Ana, who told us to bring in the vehicle. We were told to make ourselves comfortable in the waiting area because it will only be one hour.

New Luxury Range Rover Coupe SUV Is In The Works

New Luxury Range Rover Coupe SUV Is In The Works

Land Rover's chief designer, Gerry McGovern, has let slip a large luxurious two-door SUV is being secretly developed. 鈥淏ut as we get bigger you can think about going two-door because it becomes more exclusive, which might give you a hint鈥? The comment that a larger SUV coupe is in the works followed a discussion dominated by the outspoken Land Rover designer's declaring his desire for Range Rover to push further forward into what he called the "super luxury segment". Describing it as a "natural progression", McGovern said in the future the flagship Land Rover models will "become more tailored, bespoke, refined and luxurious". To prove it, he said, the designer pointed towards the Range Rover SVAutobiography that sees the British car maker go head-to-head with the Bentley Bentayga for the first time. Helping make a business case for a limited-run super luxury production car, McGovern claims, is Jaguar Land Rover鈥檚 Special Vehicle Operations (SVO). SVO, the same division that created the wild F-TYPE-based Project 7 and the even crazier 600bhp XE-based Project 8, is able to operate under the radar of Land Rover's owners, Tata, as it is self-funded. 鈥?said the Land Rover creative director. The decision to create a luxury two-door version of the Range Rover also conveniently plays into the luxury brand's SUV heritage. Also set to inspire the super luxury SUV coupe is the commemorative two-door CSK limited edition launched in 1991 that paid tribute to the original designer Charles Spencer King. Limited to a run of just 200 vehicles, the Range Rover CSK came with a more powerful 185bhp version of the standard car鈥檚 3.9-litre V8, and boasted sports suspension. Inside, the CSK edition also featured a more luxurious interior with premium leather seats. What do you think of Range Rover's super luxury coupe plans?

No matter what. Take responsibility. Offer monthly etiquette classes for your team. Team building, Respect, Relationship building etc..I could go on, but I won't! All I can say is Aaron is a fantastic salesman. He's young, ambitious and hard working. He put out superb customer service from beginning to end. Hands down he is one of their brightest salesman. It takes patience to deal with me and Aaron dealt with me. He's easy on the eyes too ladies. Aaron is a must! DO NOT GO TO THEM! This is by far the worst experience I have had with Range Rover. I recently moved into the area and needed a bypass done. 800 including parts and labor. 1200. When I explained what the advisor said at another shop the response was "ok". They clearly don not care about the clients and only want to overcharge. I will officially be going out of my way to go to another dealer. Take your car here and you'll find that it has 99 more problems than you thought it had.

Is there one who has not coveted? The question is rhetoric as scripture already provides the answer for us in Romans 3:23 (kjv), where it says: "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God". The chapter goes on to tell us that all are guilty before God. When an elderly preacher was asked by a young Christian what the word "all" meant in that verse, the wise old servant replied "All means all and that is all, all means". In other words, the verse says not some, not many, not even most, but all are guilty of sin and all have broken the commandments. Armed with this knowledge, one might question why God gave us the commandments at all. If we were all not able to keep them, if we were all guilty of breaking them in God's eyes, then why even go through the drill of trying to keep them? Is God testing us? Is God tricking us? Is he being some kind of a bully, who, because he has the power, can just force his will upon us and order us to keep his commandments, or else?

Everyone knows our industry is thriving, but we can鈥檛 deny the impact the companies we work for have on the environment. Air pollution is a hot topic and evidence suggests that many of the UK鈥檚 cities have air so dirty that it exceeds the legal limits. People in courier work need to be aware of how the industry will have to change if it is to comply with good environmental practice in the future. Here we consider how the electric vehicle (EV) market is progressing and how manufacturing is set to impact the industry and influence the daily business of anyone involved in courier work. The Rise of the Electric Vehicle EVs have started to become a favourable choice among drivers, and sales over the past ten years have increased significantly. Author Plate Norman Dulwich is a correspondent for Courier Exchange, the world's largest neutral trading hub for same day courier work in the express freight exchange industry. Numerous transport exchange businesses are networked together on their website, trading jobs and capacity through what is now the fastest growing Freight Exchange in the UK.

Range Rover Coupe

Range Rover Coupe

Jaguar Land Rover killed the Range Rover SV Coupe at the last minute, but thankfully Niels van Roij Design is filling the gap with the new Adventum Coupe. As noticed by Top Gear, the London-based firm will transform the Range Rover into a limited edition coupe which features aluminum bodywork and a sloping roofline. Niels van Roij Design didn鈥檛 say much about the exterior, but the company confirmed the cabin can be extensively customized. Among the options are highly-polished wood trims, personalized tread plates and custom leather seats with handcrafted embroidery. According to Niels van Roij, the original two-door Range Rover was an 鈥渆xemplary work of industrial design鈥?and they鈥檙e aiming to honor it with the new Adventum Coupe. The Range Rover SV Coupe was slated to cost 拢 240,000, but Niels van Roij Design will charge between 拢 275,000 - 拢 375,000 for the conversion. That price doesn鈥檛 appear to include the cost of the base vehicle either. Production will be limited to 100 units and first Range Rover coupe is already under construction. The company says the conversion will take approximately six months to complete and interested customers can get the ball rolling by making a 拢 50,000 deposit.

In theory it only replaced the older Diesel Turbo engine in the range, with the other four-cylinder engines (and the V8 petrol engine) still being available. However, the Tdi's combination of performance and economy meant that it took the vast majority of sales. Exceptions were the British Army and some commercial operators, who continued to buy vehicles with the 2.5-litre naturally aspirated diesel engine (in the army's case, this was because the Tdi was unable to be fitted with a 24 volt generator). Small numbers of V8-engined Defenders were sold to users in countries with low fuel costs or who required as much power as possible (such as in Defenders used as fire engines and ambulances). Along with the 200Tdi engine, the 127's name was changed to the "Land Rover Defender 130". The wheelbase remained the same; the new figure was simply a tidying up exercise. More importantly, 130s were no longer built from "cut-and-shut" 110s, but had dedicated chassis built from scratch.

What weAAEre discussing here is an object of pure lust, the 2010 edition of the Land Rover Range Rover Sport Supercharged with options, possibly the most luxurious of full-size SUVs. Tata Motors, part of a Mumbai-based multinational conglomerate that acquired Land Rover from Ford Motor in 2008, makes no pretense that the vehicle is meant for anything other than enjoyment and prestige. This is the SUV as ceremonial elephant. Step in. The Range Rover Sport Supercharged smells rich. Under its tutelage, Ford emphasized the technical prowess of the Range Rover line. Buttons and dials were all over the instrument panel and center console. The feeling was more aircraft flight deck than luxury coach. Tata has changed that, giving the Sport Supercharged fewer buttons with greater ease of use. It matters not that underneath its considerable finery, the Sport Supercharged remains a truck with a hydro-formed, box-steel ladder-frame. So, yes, the new Range Rover Sport Supercharged remains tough.

I recently spent some time behind the wheel of a 2015 Range Rover Supercharged LWB (Long Wheelbase), and my affection is renewed. If possible, it鈥檚 even expanded. I am on record with my love of the Land Rover brand, and the Range Rover Supercharged in particular. Range Rover got a complete makeover for the 2013 Land Rover Range Rover, losing 700 lbs and gaining additional capability in the process. 118,501 with options, California Emissions and destination charge. Land Rover鈥檚 4-year/50,000-mile new vehicle warranty includes 24-hour Road Recovery Service and complimentary first scheduled maintenance. The EPA estimates that the 2015 Range Rover Supercharged LWB can achieve 14 mpg city/19 mpg highway/16 mpg combined. I view the Range Rover Supercharged as an ideal executive conveyance. Both behind the wheel and in the second row, the Range Rover delivers an excellent experience, with luxury amenities, a great ride and a commanding view of the road.
