CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation:
A Hood Open message may be displayed in the instrument cluster message center and a warning chime may sound with the hood closed. An audible
mis-lock warning or a false trigger of the vehicle security system may also occur.
Cause:
This may be caused by a concern with the hood switch bracket, hood switch, or bulkhead panel position.
Action:
In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below.
