2019 Land Rover LR2

2019 Land Rover LR2

The 2011 Land Rover LR2 offers much to like in a mini-me version of both its father figure, the Range Rover, and larger iterations of the Land Rover. The stylish LR2 carries over many of the family features, including a nice and comfortable ride and enviable off-road chops, into its small luxury crossover world. But all is not rosy in LR2 land, and reviewers raise plenty of questions about the vehicle, often finding it underpowered. The 2011 Land Rover LR2 lacks punch off the line compared to its rivals, a function in part of its over-two-ton curb weight. A 3.2-liter inline 6-cylinder engine good for 230 horsepower and 234 lb-ft of torque powers the 2011 Land Rover LR2, and it gets matched up with a 6-speed automatic transmission that includes manual shift control. This powertrain's fuel economy numbers are less than impressive: EPA rates the LR2 at 15 mpg city/22 highway.

Tunnels and underground sites in and around Gravesend from pre-Roman times to date. Gravesend is an area full of tunnels and deep caverns. The reason is smugglers tunnels, very deep Dene Holes, under river tunnel, air raid shelter tunnels, secret underground sabotage hide outs and underground nuclear bunkers. Awesome Thames Forts - Built to protect London from air raids. In 1941 Britain stood alone against the ruthless Nazi war machine and was ill prepared to fight a major world war following the mauling at Dunkirk. Thank you for your comments. With the various wars over the years England has become an easy country for a child to have adventures. However I sometimes wonder how I survived. Really exciting story. I use to get myself into some trouble when I was younger (had cops bring me home on numerous occasions for little things), but nothing like that. That is one heck of a story and one heck of a find. Voted up and awesome. Thank you for your comments bearnmom - he may find the site interesting but all the real issues are now underwater as you say. Very interesting. I was going to forward to my son who is stationed north of Nottingham but I see there is no reason since the site is flooded. Thank you for sharing.

Editor鈥檚 note: This review was written in April 2009 about the 2009 Land Rover LR2. Little of substance has changed with this year鈥檚 model. To see what鈥檚 new for 2010, click here, or check out a side-by-side comparison of the two model years. The LR2 is Land Rover鈥檚 smallest and most affordable SUV, but it鈥檚 still capable of some impressive offroad feats, including being able to drive through water up to 19 inches deep. While it鈥檚 nice to know the LR2 could cross a small stream if needed, most people鈥檚 daily routine consists of dropping the kids off at school before heading to the office. For those people, there are more comfortable and luxurious competitors, like the Mercedes-Benz GLK350, Lexus RX 350 and Volvo XC60. While the LR2 provides acceptable ride comfort, in some ways it feels like an SUV of yesterday. One thing working in the LR2鈥檚 favor is its reasonably comfortable suspension tuning.

Compared with the concept, very little has changed. In fact, you'll have a hard time noticing any differences at all. The only obvious design tweak was made to the crossover's side windows. On the concept, the B- and C-pillars are not visible, but on the production car they clearly divide up the glass. Even the X6's complex front fender design made it to production. Each front quarter panel surrounds the entire headlamp, creating a very seamless appearance. The X6's aggressive front fascia is also carried over from the concept, with its large air intakes and stylish fog lamps. As the photos show, the X6 is anything but a conservative design. The X6's roofline begins arching downward after the B-pillar and continues plunging right to the X6's rising waistline. As a result, second-row headroom and rear cargo volume are both compromised. The new X6 is longer and lower than the new X5, seating only four.

In sport mode, the transmission is programmed to hold low gears longer and to downshift more readily, to assist acceleration. CommandShift allows manual sequential gearshifts. The 2014 Land Rover LR2 and LR2 HSE models come with grained leather covered seats as standard, while the LR2 HSE LUX gets an upgraded Windsor leather covered seat with double contrast stitch. The standard dual-panel panoramic sunroof provides a bright and airy feel in the cabin; the front section opens and slides over the second-row glass roof panel. With Passive Start, the engine starts at the touch of a button as long as the key is somewhere inside the car. The driver can control the standard Meridian audio system and the optional satellite navigation system through the standard 7-inch color touch-screen2. For 2014, the screen uses capacitive technology, which is more responsive than the resistive touch system used before. A 5-inch screen between the main dials within the instrument cluster displays primary vehicle-related information, such as temperature and fuel levels, gear position and Terrain Response mode.
