All New Land Rover Freelander 2
Boot space is also among the best in class and 38 per cent larger than that of the outgoing Freelander (with rear seats up - 755 litres vs 546 litres). The exterior and interior design of Freelander 2 is completely fresh, integrating the company's unique design language with a form that is instantly recognisable as the latest Land Rover. Land Rover design director Geoff Upex. The body is a five-door monocoque structure, with a high level of torsional rigidity which benefits refinement, comfort and handling on-road as well as ensuring the vehicle is fit for serious off-roading. The suspension is fully independent and uses the most modern stability control systems, including Roll Stability Control (RSC), a new and sophisticated technology that helps mitigate the risk of roll-over. Freelander 2 is packed with new technologies to improve both on-road and off-road performance, many new to the class. Land Rover's unique Terrain Response is standard on all but the entry-level model, to make off-roading easier. Other interesting technologies include a new full-time intelligent 4x4 system for superior traction and better on-road fuel economy, and the patented Gradient Release Control, which improves driver confidence and control when releasing the brakes on steep and slippery slopes. Other features and options rare in this class include: keyless starter button, bi-xenon headlamps, adaptive front lighting, rain-sensing wipers and park distance control (front and rear). A two-part panoramic sunroof increases the cabin's airiness: air-conditioning is standard on all models and a full colour touch-screen DVD satellite navigation system is also available. The choice of top-level audio systems includes DAB digital radio and 12-speaker Dolby Prologic IIx Surround Sound with fibre-optic interconnects. An auxiliary audio connection (for iPods and MP3 players) is standard on all vehicles.
It adapts the response of the vehicle鈥檚 engine, gearbox, center coupling and chassis systems to match the demands of the terrain, thus optimizing drivability and comfort as well as maximizing traction. Even though Terrain Response works continuously, the driver can select special programs such as grass, gravel, snow, mud, ruts and sand. If you want to 鈥減lay boats,鈥?the maximum water wading depth is 19.7 inches. LR2 has one of my favorite technologies: Hill Descent Control. It automatically restricts speed downhill using the anti-lock brake system and improves driver control on slippery descents. It鈥檚 automatically engaged on appropriate Terrain Response programs. Hand-in-hand with the capabilities technology is the driving dynamic. As awesome as the LR2 is when there鈥檚 not a civilized road in sight it鈥檚 just as good a machine on paved roads. It offers an all-day ride so the prospect of driving it for hundreds of miles per day isn鈥檛 daunting whatsoever.
Fully off-road capable, the LR2 is equipped with special power allocation settings for road surfaces like snow, sand or extreme trail driving. The 3.2-liter engine turns out a capable 230 hp, though trailer tow limits are set at a moderately low 1650 lbs. Land Rover claims 0-60 mph acceleration times in the highly acceptable 8.5-second range. Step inside an LR2 and you get the immediate impression of high-quality materials and a well-planned, functional layout. Three large, round knobs operate the interior climate. A bigger, bright-finish knob in the center of the console may appear to add confusion to the control layout, but it simply twists to four settings that control power delivery over varying road surfaces (i.e. trail, sand, snow, hill, hard). Instrument gages directly in front of the driver are marginally well illuminated but could be brighter and larger for better viewing. Like all Land Rovers, the leather seats are first-class in appearance, comfort and support.
The expression. People love to look into the eyes of their beloved pets, so get good expressions, and get in close. It makes the viewer feel close to the animal. Make sure you get some good close-ups and some 聯head shots聰. Then, get some of the pets funny side. Try to capture its unique personality. Outdoor pet photos are very nice, but there are a number of things to keep in mind. Many pets will run away fast, so you might have to keep them on a leash or have the owner hold them. In addition, outdoor lighting can change frequently because of clouds. The best time for outdoor photos is before 11 a.m. 2 p.m. Its best to have the angle of the sun lower, around 45 degrees, if possible, and behind the camera. As long as its behind the camera, its okay for it to be off to one side.
The classic Land Rover was unveiled in 1948, and had a mechanically-and-utilitarian-bulletproof design. The defender rose to great notoriety for being one of the most capable off-road vehicles of all time. The new design whose release will coincide with the Land Rover鈥檚 70th anniversary, is expected to restore its former glory, and give Land Rover a new lifeline. While we haven鈥檛 seen the actual body yet, the fact that they have a test mule shows they are at an advanced stage of implementing their design. In the test mule, they use the modified body of an existing model to test the mechanics of the new design. From the spy photos, the 2020 Land Rover Defender design was being tested in the modified body of a Range Rover Sport. We were able to see that the new Defender will have a short body compared to the Range Rover Sport. Moreover, the test mule was being used to test a defender with a short wheelbase.
