One of the two mischievous boys. Dirty Prat - What Ven calls the Raven that is perched on Gregory A. Snograss's headstone in The Thief Queen's Daughter. Don't Be An Idiot School - A term Char uses to express the point of trusting no one in the Thieves Market. Downworlders - People who are outcast of The Gated City, who live below the ground in tunnels that stretch all throughout the island of Serendair. Elizabeth Haydon's third book in The Lost Journals of Ven Polypheme series. Dragon Scales - Hold the power to see the future, which is in the possession the Seren Reader, Madame Sharra. The scales are tattered at the edges, and are shaped like an oval and appear gray. But if you hold one in the light the scale gives off a rainbow shine (like light passing through a glass prism) but with a dominant color. The scale's surfaces are scored with many fine lines, and have images on them. Dream Seller - A place located in The Gated City that "sells," dreams.

One of the most common repairs we perform in our workshop is replacing the front lower suspension arms. The symptom is a clonking/knocking sound from the front suspension, mostly noticable at low speed, a quick test is to drive the vehicle forward and in reverse at slow speed applying the foot brake. If you hear a clonk as soon as the brakes are applied then it is very likely to be the lower suspension arm bushes. Anti roll bars help keep a vehicle level when cornering, they have two rubber bushes around them which are held by a clamp bolted to the chassis. The bushes wear over time and your steering will start to feel 鈥榳oolly鈥?and less responsive. A sign of wear is a clunk when cornering. Also feeling the vehicle move or jump further over opposite to the direction you are cornering is a sign that the anti-roll bar bushes are worn and need replacing.

Like all Land Rover Discoverys, the second-generation model of 1998- 2004 gets a bad press for its poor quality and unreliability. Its saving grace seems to be that it has more technology than its predecessor but not so much as later generations that it can be a devil to repair. Its 2.5-litre Td5 diesel engine (there鈥檚 also a 180bhp 4.0-litre petrol V8 auto) is a big improvement on the Mk1鈥檚 300 Tdi motor and its chassis and suspension system are better. The third-row seats on some versions are forward facing, which makes a big difference to practicality and passenger comfort. Seven-seat models have self-levelling suspension at the rear and, on all versions, optional Active Cornering Enhancement boosts the model鈥檚 composure, allowing you to press on. All this and, crucially, it retains the Disco 1鈥檚 attractive and distinctive stepped-roof design. In fact, despite them sharing only the same rear door panel, the Disco 2 doesn鈥檛 look that different from its predecessor to inexperienced eyes but inside is a lot fresher and more civilised.

There is foot and mouth in Zambia and Zimbabwe. They take all red meat and dairy products. The cars wheels are sprayed and you disinfect your shoes by stepping on a treated sponge mat. A local jokingly told his lady friend to kiss the mat as well, since it is 鈥淔oot AND Mouth鈥? The road to Central is along the Vet fence. The 鈥楽warthak鈥?trees are covered in flowers. Inside the park they have graded the roads and the first 30 km are very sandy and difficult to drive on. But some have evidently had worse to worry about. We come across a burnt out Mercedes 4x4, its windscreen and aluminium engine block almost entirely melted down. Only the bonnet catch still works. It appears that often bad roads with corrugations cause the electronics - and there鈥檚 a lot on these modern vehicles - to short and spark. Grass also packs around the exhaust and when you slow down or stop well鈥ires that consume the entire vehicle.
