I thought I'd change direction for a moment and show you one of the machines our company ( J E Robison Service )builds. We're known for customizing Land Rovers for folks who want to take them to serious rough country, and expeditions, and adventures. We get work like this shipped to us from all over the eastern United States. This is a Land Rover Defender 90 that we built last summer for a fellow in Virginia. In this photo Jeff ( one of our Rover techs ) has just driven up a knee-high rock ledge and he's climbing the slope at a steep angle. Here are Jeff and Dominick from our Land Rover shop crossing a small stream on the trail. All the equipment on the front - the high lift jack, the winch, skid plates, and such were fabricated or fitted in our shop. In this photo you can see the incredible range of suspension motion in a modified Land Rover. Look at the front axle, which is twisted in a direction opposite the rear. This truck's been prepared to run out west, in the rock and sand of the desert. Those two cans on the back will carry drinking water. We've moved the spare tire to the floor inside. The custom bumper is clearly visible. It can take the weight of the truck should the vehicle drop onto a large rock. The box below the bumper is the armor for the fuel tank. Here's another front view. The snorkel for the diesel air intake is visible. This Defender has the 300TDI motor.

Very happy with my purchase and would recommend you to anyone. James from Callington with a Land Rover Discovery (3) 2.7 TDV6 190 said: May I congratulate you on this diesel tuning product as it has made a noticeable difference to my Land Rover Discovery. The CHIP Express system does not show any evidence of this and is equal to the likes of an ECU remap (which I have also had done before) for smoothness and noticeable power gains. This would be the only diesel tuning product I would recommend. Wouter from Pretoria, South Africa with a Land Rover Discovery (4) 2.7 TDV6 190 said: Wow, what a change in performance! I am amazed at how instant the power is with very little if none turbo lag depending on the initial speed and gear. The past week I was testing fuel consumption and I also found it to be better.

Various Land Rover models have been used in a military capacity, most notably by the British Army and Australian Army. Modifications may include military "blackout" lights, heavy-duty suspension, uprated brakes, 24 volt electrics, convoy lights, electronic suppression of the ignition system, blackout curtains and mounts for special equipment and small arms. Dedicated military models have been produced such as the 101 Forward Control and the air-portable 1/2 ton Lightweight. Military uses include light utility vehicle; communications platform; weapon platform for recoilless rifles, Anti-tank (e.g. TOW or M40 recoilless rifle) / Surface-to-Air Guided Weapons or machine guns; ambulances and workshops. The Discovery has also been used in small numbers, mostly as liaison vehicles. An adaptation of Land Rovers to military purposes is the "Pink Panther" models. Approximately 100 Series IIA models were adapted to reconnaissance use by British special operations forces the SAS. For desert use they were often painted pink, hence the name.

2014 Land Rover LR2 tire inflation will be listed in psi (pounds per square inch), bar or kPa (kilopascals). Keep in mind that tire inflation listed on tire sidewall is the maximum air pressure the tire can hold to carry its maximum load, and not necessarily the recommended tire pressure for 2014 Land Rover LR2. Your 2014 Land Rover LR2 may also have different recommended tire pressure settings for front and rear tires, especially if equipped with staggered tires. To check 2014 Land Rover LR2 tire pressure you will need to know its recommended tire inflation and a tire pressure gauge. Check tire pressure when tires are "cold" using quality tire pressure gauge. Adjust 2014 Land Rover LR2 tire inflation to the recommended tire pressure settings as needed by adding or releasing air. If you replace 2014 Land Rover LR2 original equipment tires and switch to different tire size, make sure to follow guidelines for the application of load and inflation tables to find proper tire pressure for new tires. Always refer to the 2014 Land Rover LR2 owner鈥檚 manual for any specific safety advice regarding the application of replacement tires.
