Car Cool Freemont

Car Cool Freemont

It may take a decade or two, but I see an incredibly bright future ahead. 10. Recently, Chris Bangle decided to quit his position at BMW. He was a really controversial figure. What do you think about his influence on the BMW design philosophy? Fortunately, I had the opportunity to meet Chris Bangle at this year's Detroit Auto Show (shortly before his resignation). I am a huge fan of his work. It is amazing how he was able to take such a conservative company as BMW and generate some of the most provoking (although controversial) designs on the road. The current BMW line-up, which Bangle left his mark on are hands-down the most sculptural and unique looking cars on the market, and always stand out as a step above the competition. While certain features on some vehicles are either love/hate (ex. 11. Are there any car designers which you really admire and who have influenced your work? Besides Chris Bangle, I wound have to say I was a great admirer of Franz Von Holzhausen's work at Mazda, especially with the Nagare Concept Series.

Elsewhere, the rotary climate controls remain easy to operate, clicking to reveal the heated and ventilated seat functions. These dials also give access to the Discovery鈥檚 drive mode selector, their function altering seamlessly when you prod the Terrain Response II button. It actually works really well and ensures the dash doesn鈥檛 feel too cluttered with countless buttons and switches. The Discovery Sport remains one of the few cars in this class available with seven seats. While they鈥檙e better reserved for children or very occasional use, they鈥檙e good to have and boast 24 different seating combinations. Land Rover has now fitted the car with USB and 12-volt charge points in every row, as well as heating and ventilation controls front to back. The boot is cavernous when you fold the middle and rearmost seats flat, revealing a huge 1,794-litre load bay. Land Rover claims a total of 48 litres of stowage in and around the cabin, too, which depending on how you look at it - or how forgetful your children are - could be a blessing or a curse.

49,900 sticker that Land Rover asks for the base P300 trim. The Jeep Wrangler, the Defender鈥檚 traditional competitor, is much more affordable. 18,000 more affordable than the Defender. The other boxy SUV on the market, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, sits at the other end when it comes to pricing. 124,500 in base G550 trim. In the United Kingdom, the Defender retails from 拢45,240. For this price, you get the D200 diesel model, which will cost as much as 拢52,625 in SE trim. Next up is the P300, priced from 拢48,295 in standard trim and from the 拢55,680 in SE guise. The D240 diesel model fetches from 拢51,750 to 拢58,860, while the range-topping P400 X is available from 拢78,800. For reference, the four-door Jeep Wrangler starts from 拢46,455, while the Mercedes-Benz G-Class retails from 拢94,580. The latest-generation Wrangler, the JL, is quite new, having been introduced for the 2018 model year. It rides on a brand-new platform that retains the body-on-frame construction and solid axles, two features that set it apart from the Defender.

This is significantly more that what one could fit in a 3 Series sedan. Under the hood the 4 Series Gran Coupe is all 3 Series, borrowing that model's 240 horsepower, 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder base model as well as its range-topping 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder unit (good for 300 horses). Fuel economy for the four-cylinder model shows as 23-mpg city and 32-mpg highway, and optional all-wheel drive can be ordered across the board. The 2015 Toyota Yaris is a sometimes-overlooked subcompact 5-door that is also available as a 3-door model. Designed to appeal to those seeking basic transportation. Toyota Yaris is motivated by a 106 horsepower, 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that returns fuel economy figures of 30-mpg around town and 37-mpg during highway cruising. The 2015 Chevrolet Sonic's 5-door edition adopts motorcycle-influenced styling within and without, a trait that is most apparent when examining the car's headlights as well as its unique gauge cluster. The 2015 Mazda Mazda2 proves that you don't have to blaze to 60-mph in five seconds or less to have a good time behind the wheel.

I have a 2004 land rover discovery with a serious problem. 5000 since I bought it. I really like my land rover. However, the most recent problem is possibly a warped or cracked cylinder head or a cracked engine block. I first heard a huge pfft pfft pfft sound that I thought was a loose spark plug although I've had a tune up less than six months ago. I also noticed an abundance of oil usage. When I looked under the hood, I noticed oil leakage at the rear of the engine on passenger side and no loose plugs. When I took it to a mechanic, my worst fear was real. 30,000 gap between the block and cylinder head. I don't know whether I should scrap the car or try to repair. Please if you have any advice, please let me know. I don't have alot money for additional repairs, I'm now out of a car to travel to work, and I still owe on this one.
