Overall, however, the 2013 Kia Sportage is a strong contender in this group thanks to its fun nature and value for the dollar. The 2013 Kia Sportage is a compact crossover SUV with seating for five. There are a total of four trim levels available, including Base, LX, EX and SX. Stepping up to the Sportage LX adds 17-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, rear privacy glass and keyless entry. The available Convenience package adds a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, a rear spoiler, roof rack side rails, heated outside mirrors, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel and a rear cargo area cover. Other options include a Premium package that bundles a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery (standard on SX), heated front seats, a ventilated driver seat, keyless entry/ignition (standard on SX), upgraded gauges and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. A touchscreen navigation system with real-time traffic info is available on all but the base model. Power for the 2013 Kia Sportage comes from one of two inline four-cylinder engines. Base, LX and EX models come with a 2.4-liter that puts out 176 hp and 168 pound-feet of torque.

The edgy Showtime television suburban satire, "Weeds", holds a whole host of lessons on business building for the self-employed. Wiidowed soccer mom, Nancy Botwin, agonizes how she'll support her family and discovers the lucrative income in being the local neighbor pot dealer. Watching her start and grow her business is like reading an entrepreneurial textbook on mistakes to avoid as a business owner. I have a new love -- and it's not a man or a house or a car. It's an edgy Showtime television suburban satire, "Weeds", in which Mary Louise Parker plays a widowed soccer mom, Nancy Botwin, in a fictional subdivision of Los Angeles called Agrestic. Nancy struggles with the sudden death of her husband from a heart attack and agonizes how she'll support her family in their upper-class lifestyle. Not having any discernable job skills, Nancy discovers the lucrative income in being the local neighbor pot dealer.

Even when lowering with the power seat adjustment, it still felt like I was sat on a child's booster seat. This position was great when off-roading, as it allowed superior vision to spot any concealed roots or rocks. When on normal roads it felt like I needed to drop it down an inch or so, but it just wasn't an option. I'm only 5-foot, 7 inches, so a 6-footer might find this more annoying. For me, it was odd, but livable. The center console has a brand new 7-inch touch screen. From here you can control the Meridian audio system and the optional navigation. If you opt for the nav you will be granted a rearview camera that has Hitch Assist to help with backing up, showing the exact location of the tow ball. Below the screen are a horde of buttons and dials. The font used when wording the buttons looks a little big, bland and boring, like something from a Kindergarten's 鈥淟earn to Read鈥?book.

Acura's Super Handling All-Wheel Drive improves handling in high-performance circumstances. For example, when going around a curve, the SH-AWD will select the proper gear and hold it, rather than switching in the middle of a turn. Also, the Acura MDX gets around 15 city MPG and 20 highway MPG - around the median fuel efficiency for a mid-size SUV. Inside, the 2009 MDX includes tri-zone climate control. This allows the driver, front passenger, and rear passengers to each control the climate to meet their specific needs. Steering wheel mounted controls let the driver connect to the Bluetooth system, adjust the volume or radio station, and access the navigation system directly from the steering wheel. A multi-informational display is located in the instrument cluster. This digital readout will alert drivers when maintenance is needed on their MDX and if a tire has too much or too little pressure. One of the biggest selling features of the 2009 MDX is the Acura Navigation System.
