This year in August, most of the WAC I-485 cases were given an unfair beating and were largely neglected in the approvals. Most of these cases are not current now but many will become again next year. So, based on this year's experience, we need to prepare so that we do not again get beaten up. By WAC I-485 cases, I mean cases filed in July 2007 in NSC but were receipted at CSC and sent back to NSC. Biometrics for these cases do not get attached to file. Reason is when we do the biometrics, the results are sent to CSC because the case number starts with WAC. The results do not automatically get transmitted to NSC. Most of us had to make phone calls to make it happen. By that time, precious time was lost and the visa numbers got over. The issue will now again come up as most of our fingerprints are approaching 15 month expiry.

Less good menu interface the screen, which is sometimes slower on the uptake than top rival programs. On the other hand, 2015 marks the introduction of the Control Apps Land Rover, which includes Apple and Android smartphones in such a way that certain applications see the same screen as they do on your device. The Evoque is still not infotainment leader in this segment, but the native smartphone compatibility goes a long way toward balancing the scales. Front seat comfort Evoque is very impressive, but the roof is sloped rear headroom tight for adults, and pinched side windows and rear glass hatch permit a lot of light to enter. The two-door Evoque important, as it makes it a challenge just entering and exiting the rear seat. As you would expect, the Evoque and relatively compact footprint and do not let a lot of cargo. There is a hatchback-grade 20.3 feet cubic of space behind the rear seatbacks (19.4 cubes for the Coupe), and maximum capacity 51 cubic feet (47.6 for the Coupe) with the rear seats folded at the bottom part of. Even tightly packaged, performance-focused Porsche Macan offers 53 cubes.

2,150 option on SE and HSE variants; though there are myriad tweaks, its most important is an automatic mode that does as its name suggests to adapt to whatever may lie underneath. Even with their street-oriented Goodyear Eagle F1 AT rubber, our Discos hardly slipped their way through deep sand, wet clay, and off-camber slickrock. At the press of a button, the optional air suspension rises to the occasion, increasing ground clearance from 8.7 to 11.1 inches. Both front and rear angles of approach and departure climb to almost 30 degrees. Look beyond the Disco鈥檚 almost generic Ford Explorer-esque shape and short sidewalls to find that there is huge capability lurking where it seems least expected. And the latest evolution of Land Rover鈥檚 off-road cruise control, which it calls All Terrain Progress Control, makes climbing any obstacle easy. Too easy, frankly, since Land Rover hinted that autonomous off-road driving is in our future. A press of a center console button activates the system which maintains a set speed up or down an obstacle. It only requires the driver to move the steering wheel as needed since it applies the brakes, it accelerates, and it modifies traction control parameters.

Peak torque is available from 1,300 to 4,500 rpm, so passing power is suitable to a point. But the Evoque鈥檚 lack of high-end power calls for a more strategic driving style, especially on two-lane roads. Sudden passes require negotiating with the Evoque鈥檚 nine-speed automatic, a likable enough transmission that maintains its composure in everyday driving but gets frazzled as it hunts for the correct gear at wide-open throttle. Eventually the software sorts itself out, realizes it鈥檚 a transmission and not a spinning loom or butter churn, and selects the appropriate cog. But its hesitation is yet another layer that makes passing more difficult than it should be. That said, I made more two-lane passes in one Greek day than most Americans make in a year, so this particular concern should only weigh heavily if you鈥檙e routinely rolling down rural roads. The Land Rover struggles to urgently jump from 45 to 65 miles per hour, but is far more willing to move from 60 to 80 miles per hour under lighter throttle.
