Now I have included some pictures below on how I wired the system up. I used to do a lot of electronic, but not on cars, and I was always amazed just how bad some of the wiring on some other systems was done. So I have tried to ensure if you have not done this before I have given some tips on how to prevent things going wrong. It is at this point where my cabling will probably break due to smart arse karma, but hey ho. To put the crimp terminals onto the thick cables you will need to get a good crimp tool, I have a Laser 5284 crimp tool and some battery terminal connectors. The crimp terminal end connectors you need look like this. You should get some shrink tubing as well to ensure you cover the end of any cables you are making up, this will prevent any short in the system. You will need to lay out the cable where you want to run it in your engine bay, cut it to length and then put the terminal connectors on and complete the main cabling.

But find yourself a three year old, standard model, you can be looking to pay around 拢30,000 as opposed to 拢60,000 upwards brand new. If you're budgets a little more forgiving, you might just find yourself a newer model with a higher specification for around 拢45,000 - much less than the 拢80,000 upward price tag for top of the range models. The Land Rover Discovery is the little brother to the Range Rover, and whilst it shares the same space-age styling of the Range Rover, it is by no means overshadowed by the elder sibling. The smaller, more compact Discovery is a formidable driving machine in its own right and used all over the country for both family motoring and industry transport. A base, three year old model can be found bought for as little as 拢13,000, whilst a top of the range, one year old model can be bought for around 拢45,000. So whatever your budget, there's bound to be a used Discovery out there to suit you. The Land Rover Freelander has been argued to be the odd one out: the 'other' Land Rover.

Land Rover Range Rover Supercharged SUV, a model some of us think sits at the pinnacle of the luxury utility vehicle segment. The following is a real-life online debate that took place over the course of a few hours. Have a read, and feel free to take sides. There's a poll at the end so you can make your voice heard. Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski: Strange as it may sound, Jeremy Clarkson and I have a few things in common, most obvious of which is that we share a given name. Thing is, this universal truth isn't quite as universally shared as I think it should be. In fact, my esteemed colleague Alex Kierstein believes that Mercedes-Benz makes the most desirable four-wheel-drive off-road vehicles. He's clearly wrong, but I feel obligated to let him explain his choice, though it won't go without a rebuttal. Senior Editor Alex Kierstein: That's correct, and so am I in this regard. I'm sorry, Jeremy, but it's an irrefutable fact that Mercedes-Benz is doing the best interiors in the business now.

Jefferson said: 鈥淕ordon gave me some good advice and it helped me push the car more. I鈥檓 pleased with the result, it鈥檚 a good start to the season. I was a bit worried on day one as we got two punctures early on and only had four spares for the weekend. Karl Gudgeon had a successful return to the BCCC with fourth place in his GSR Evo X with Mike Moran using the power of his new Jaguar engine to take fifth. In the BCCC Trophy championship debutant Richard Keasey won in his Warrior Indy SSG after an event-long battle with the Bristol Street Motors-backed GSR Maxilight of Paul Harris. Alan Thomas rounded off the top three in the Trophy. 鈥淚 am delighted with the result and I loved the event,鈥?said Keasey. 鈥淭he last two runs were a struggle as we only had two wheel drive which made the uphill offroad sections difficult but we got to the finish. I can鈥檛 wait for the next round! Chris Ratter won the Freelander Challenge after overnight leader Nick Lines was forced out of the event. The championship moves to Scotland for the next round with a challenging course being planned at the Forrest Estate venue near Dalry.
