2019 Land Rover LR2

2019 Land Rover LR2

The Land Rover LR2 competes in the growing premium compact SUV category. With the introduction of the Audi Q5, Volvo XC60, and forthcoming BMW X1, the premium compact SUV category is one of the hottest SUV categories. These 5 seat SUVs provide the utility and efficiency of a compact SUV but with premium comforts. The LR2 was first introduced into Land Rover鈥檚 lineup for the 2008 model year. It replaced the similarly sized but outdated Freelander. The LR2 was all-new when it debuted. It was the first Land Rover model to offer Roll Stability Control as an option. Final assembly for the model is in Land Rover鈥檚 home country of Great Britain. For 2011, the LR2 receives a minor refresh. The model is offered in only one trim, the HSE. It is powered by a 3.2 liter V-6 engine with 230 horsepower and 234 pound-feet of torque. It is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

It's also notably smaller than an LR3. Available only in a four-door configuration, the LR2 measures 177.2 inches from tip to tail, some 13.2 inches shorter than an LR3 and even 2.7 inches shorter than a BMW X3. The carlike design themes of the LR2's exterior are carried through into the interior. The bluff, utilitarian feel of the LR3's dash has given way to a softer design that combines the look of an SUV with that of a traditional sedan. The quality of the presentation is a huge step forward from the Freelander, but the wood trim doesn't look right and there were some squeaks and rattles in the interior of the preproduction vehicles we drove. For the U.S., the LR2 will come in only one, fully optioned model, with such things as leather upholstery and a massive twin-element sunroof as standard equipment. The LR2 is far more spacious than the old Freelander, yet you're never left in doubt that this is a compact-utility vehicle.

Ps. Matt ( the service manager) your a joke your not even qualified to work at Walmart ! If anyone has questions feel free to message me ! This is a shout out to Zoran Bosiljkic ! Greats person all around , nice , polite , courteous & not pushy. Best salesman we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. No back & forth & no pulling teeth. Transaction was quick & smooth ! Yet another disappointment. Went in yesterday for a replacement on 2 door seals which is under warranty. Also to reapply crystal fusion to windshield. When we arrived we were told only one door seal was ordered and they didn't know about the other. Which is complete bull. We were told it would take a few hours even tho our mail stated if would only take 45 mins max with a wash and vacuum. The last time we were in they washed and vacuumed our car. But in the process they scratched the center armrest which is shiny piano black plastic. They said oh sorry and buffed it out. So this time we said be careful not to scratch the center arm rest like last time.
