Rear legroom receives the best praise in the whole survey, making it an ideal car for families with older children. The Superb also ranks an impressive third for its safety features, thanks in part to an excellent Euro NCAP showing, while top 10 ratings for reliability, infotainment and running costs cement its position. Owners are less impressed with the car鈥檚 looks, though, scoring it 24th for both style and fit and finish. While drivers say the engines are powerful and gearboxes smooth, the ride leaves a bit to be desired. Put a BMW 7 Series saloon on a course of steroids, and this is what you get - the BMW large SUV flagship is one of the biggest, and most impressive 4x4s around. The X7 more imposing than the majority of its rivals, because BMW鈥檚 product planners had an eye on markets like China where owners are not shy of flaunting their success. It鈥檚 manoeuvrable around town yet has bags of grip and stability when you鈥檙e out on the open road and handles with surprising agility thanks in part to its relatively low weight. It鈥檚 comfortable too, but the relatively sporty feel means it鈥檚 not quite as luxuriant over bumps as a Range Rover. A pair of smooth, powerful and efficient diesel engines and a standard eight-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox all help to make the Q7 a compelling choice for luxury SUV buyers. Underneath the Model X shares all its electric running gear with the Model S saloon, and also shares tech such as the autonomous 鈥楢utopilot鈥?technology, which continues to make headlines if not always for the right reasons. The ZF and GM5 automatic gearboxes used in the Range RoverL322 are prone to failure. Initial symptoms would usually be a reluctance to shift gear or the appearance of engine management or gear monitor faults on the dashboard. If the problem is not attended to the next symptom would normally be a chattering noise under drive. If the any of these things occur it is best to stop driving the vehicle immediately and take it to the place of repair by recovery truck or on tow. Loss of power on the Range RoverL322 can be caused by a number of issues. Most will require the vehicle plugging into diagnostic equipment to find the exact cause however the most common faults are EGR valves or a split in one of the intercooler hoses. This means that the air boost pressure is lost so the air and fuel mixture is incorrect leading to poor performance and generally black smoke from the exhaust.
