From the looks of it, the new 2014 Range Rover Sport will be a natural addition to the upcoming Land Rover model lineup. The distinctive new head & tail lamp designs mated to a clean and elegant body will be the staple of the Range Rover's new design DNA. This new design language could leave some traditionalists scrambling to get their hands on a current generation Range Rover Sport, and that's exactly what one of our customers did. This black on black 2013 Range Rover Sport was presented to us with the intention of transforming it to a modern classic. The first modification was to swap out the factory 20" wheels with 22" CEC c883 SUV alloys wrapped in 295/30-22 Michelin Diamaris 4x4 tires. The lower front bumper and rear valance were painted in silver to compliment the existing silver trim on this SUV. The dark smoked taillights help simplify the rear end while elongating the side profile. Lastly, the side fender grills have been repainted, making sure all the details have been considered. The steeply sloped windshield helps keep wind noise to nearly nonexistent levels, depending on speed. The short overhangs in the front and rear give it generous approach and departure angles -- that means it can tackle steep slopes without scraping -- and it can even ford streams up to 23.6 inches deep. The upcoming 2020 Land Rover Defender is a luxury SUV that comes with great comfort and attractive exterior design. Current Defender is a new-generation vehicle that arrived with a significant facelift. For that reason, the 2020 Defender will introduce minor changes only. This SUV will continue to ride on a D7 aluminum platform that underpins current Range Rover SUV. Visually, the current model and the future one will look identical. Interior is extremely modern and premium but the updates are really minor. Under the hood, Defender offers two gasoline drivetrains. This SUV will be available in numerous trim levels and it will compete against the likes of Toyota Land Cruiser and Jeep Wrangler. The exterior will suffer small upgrades only. As we mentioned, the 2019 Defender came with a redesign and the 2020 Land Rover Defender will be a carryover. That means the two models will look visually the same. There is no actual need for further updates as the SUV looks very modern and handsome. The front part is especially attractive.
