Lots of sales consultants have integrated an outstanding meet and greet at the beginning of the sales process, of course we practice this task everyday so there's very little that could go wrong in that crucial first step. It's where we branch off from that point that have lots of us stumbling or confused. Naturally, the consumer would simply go to a specific type of vehicle and the salesman would hang out with the buyer and follow their every lead. Sales consultants have to first understand the driving forces in the market to be able to custom tailor an effective product selection. Back 40 years ago, muscle cars were all the rage and it was easy for buyers to land themselves on that niche market. And ten years ago, sport utility vehicles made it's mark into a hotly successful arena. And today, sport utility vehicles are still a good seller, but economical cars are what its all about. So be sure to integrate today's current trend into your script.

Most switchgear is simple, handy, and intuitive, though a few dashboard icons puzzle. Climate controls are low-set but easy enough to operate. The audio system is independent of the navigation system-a plus-but its display is tough to read. The navigation system lacks voice activation, but is easy enough to program and its screen is large. The LR2鈥檚 cabin takes a cue from more expensive Range Rovers by offering high-quality wood and leather trim, solid-feeling plastics, and a blocky design imparting an upscale but sporty feel. LR2s came with two sunroofs, but Land Rover provided only perforated sunshades that don鈥檛 do a great job of keeping out heat and bright rays. Large folks might consider the front seat slightly cozy, but there鈥檚 adult-size legroom and headroom on supportive chair-height seats. Step-in is a bit high, but manageable. The driver gets fine outward visibility, though the thin heating wires embedded in the windshield can be annoying, at least initially. Like other compact-class SUVs, LR2 isn鈥檛 wide enough for three adults to sit comfortably in back, but two have good head clearance and shoulder room, plus decent knee and leg space-unless the front seats are moved well rearward. Some testers have found the bench seat to be nothing special, but others declared it firm and supportive. Rear entry and exit are a bit tight due to the LR2鈥檚 high-rider stance and smallish door openings. Cargo volume isn鈥檛 generous for a compact SUV, but what鈥檚 there is usefully shaped and easily accessed. The split rear seat double-folds to increase space and form a flat cargo deck. Good cabin storage includes large door pockets with bottle holders.
The modern LR2 returns with a narrow A-pillar for better visibility, short overhangs to tilt off-road and a wide track for on-road handling - as pavement and congestion are the hallmarks of the terrain it is most likely to traverse. This dose of reality appears lost on Land Rover, which invested the LR2 with much more capability than most competitors in the middle-luxury CUV segment. The LR2 attempts to follow the path of the larger LR3, which is downright goat-like in its ability to crawl over or climb up any terrain with Land Rover鈥檚 Terrain Response system that dials in the appropriate measure of traction. The auto maker tweaked the Terrain Response system for use in the LR2, as well. The smaller CUV has four settings - the rock-crawl option is omitted as the LR2 lacks low-range gears and has less ground clearance with 8.3 ins. LR2 eats its way through each of them on a test course here. Maximum wading depth for this 鈥渦rban鈥?Land Rover is an impressive 19.7 ins. Tested here in about 16 ins.
