To date, the Range Rover Evoque has been honored with over ninety international awards. This global success has spawned a new concept with an interesting twist: a premium convertible SUV. Introducing the Range Rover Evoque Convertible Concept at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show continues the exploration of new territory in the World of Land Rover. The concept has been developed by Land Rover Design Director, Gerry McGovern and his team. The soft-top concept features a fully retractable premium roof system. An integrated Roll Over Protection System lets the top come down without relaxing safety concerns. This concept cleverly joins capability and versatility in a package that is unmistakably Land Rover. Key characteristics including a sports command driving position and all-terrain capability firmly link this study in design back to its hard-top heritage. Many of these will be Early Service Leavers, who depart before completing four years鈥?service with no or few military qualifications and little civilian work experience, which can make it more difficult for them to find work. The 鈥業nspiring Tomorrow鈥檚 Workforce: Military鈥?programme has been developed by Jaguar Land Rover鈥檚 education partner Birmingham Metropolitan College to help Early Service Leavers prepare for jobs in the automotive sector. The course builds on the company鈥檚 鈥業nspiring Tomorrow鈥檚 Workforce鈥?traineeship programme which offers dedicated training for unemployed young people, aged 16 to 24, who have struggled to find a job. Alan Volkaerts, Operations Director at Solihull, commented: 鈥淎lready at Jaguar Land Rover we have recruited over 100 ex-military personnel in the last year, the majority here in Solihull. They have valuable skills that can be directly transferred to the automotive industry.
