2019 Land Rover Defender India Launch Next Year
The 5-door version is the 110 which comes with a longer wheelbase. Reports suggest that the company has also planned for a 130 variant sometime later which will seat a total of 8 people. Buyers are offered a choice of three engine options that include the newly developed 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines that are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The British carmaker will add a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder plug-in hybrid engine in the line-up later next year. Unlike the previous generation which primarily catered to the off-road enthusiasts, the new Defender brings enough tricks on the table in order to please the young buyers. The point in case would include the new Pivi Pro infotainment system which comes with over-the-air (OTA) software updates that are functional anywhere in the world. The new infotainment system supports two phones that can be connected at the same time. Other aspects in the car include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and head-up display and 85 ECUs that can process 21,000 network messages. In addition to this, the new Defender can also electronically raise itself by 145mm when tackling difficult terrains. The car can also be lowered by 50mm to ease getting in and out of the car. The car will make its way into our shore by late next year and have already been spied on our roads doing test runs. The new modern elements on the outside including the LED lights and a neat grille all accentuates the tough and worthy look of the upcoming Defender. The combined package of the new car has totally made its development period worth. The new generation went into works before the previous generation was discontinued by the company. And over the course of more than three years, the car has been put through 62,000 different tests and 1.2 million kilometres of different terrains around the world. All we now need to know is how well the car performs in terms of pricing.

The SE can also be a great bargain considering most of the safety and tech equipment you receive for the money. Finally, the SE can be acquired with a wide selection of options, so you can pick and choose those are right for your budget. Crossover SUVs might be all the rage, but there is still something to be said for the tried-and-true midsize sedan. Exhibit A: the 2020 Land Rover Lr2. Coming off a redesign just this past year, the 2020 Land Rover Lr2 is just a spacious, fuel-efficient sedan with plenty of standard safety equipment and lots of options to choose from. As has been the case for some time, you can get the 2020 Land Rover Lr2 with a four-cylinder engine or a better V6, or you may get the miserly 2020 Land Rover Lr2 Hybrid. On the highway, the 2020 Land Rover Lr2 is comfortable and compliant.
The R.S. 2027 Vision is Renault鈥檚 take on the future of F1. First unveiled in Shanghai earlier this year, the sharp-looking race car gets 3D-printed bodywork, a closed cockpit and crazy gold paint. It even features LED information displays on the wheels - relaying relevant information for crowds and engineers every time it passes the pit lane. Following its Zagato-designed saloon, the Thunder Power SUV is cleverly designed to maximise interior space, with rear-hinged back doors and a high roofline. There鈥檚 no word on UK sales, but it鈥檚 likely to be a few years before you see in showrooms over here. The Volocopter isn鈥檛 a car at all. It鈥檚 an electric flying taxi - but that didn鈥檛 stop the maker showcasing its latest project at its home motor show. It鈥檚 a five-seat vertical take-off aircraft that should be ready to fly before the end of the year. Volkswagen鈥檚 evergreen California camper has been put on steroids. The California XXL is nearly six metres long and three metres tall - allowing room for a double bed in the rear. There鈥檚 a full-length panoramic roof, perfect for star gazing, as well as a retractable wet room-style shower. It鈥檚 only a concept for now, however. The Chinese had a huge presence in Frankfurt. In amongst the crazy concepts and not-for-Europe production cars sat the Wey XEV - a plug-in hybrid SUV with bold styling and gullwing doors. The maker has its sights set firmly on premium sector rivals from the likes of Volvo, Audi and Mercedes, though no details were given on a potential global launch. What was your favourite car at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show?

The Evoque is an SUV, so performance really isn鈥檛 its game. However, my tester proved to be reasonably athletic within the confines of its configuration. Acceleration from rest is good in normal mode and quite impressive in sport. Peak horsepower is high in the powerband (5,500 rpm), but peak torque is not - it starts at just 1,500 rpm and it helps to scoot the Evoque along with impressive haste. Land Rover鈥檚 official 0-100 km/h time is 6.6 seconds, and while I didn鈥檛 independently verify that claim myself, the Evoque feels quick. A sport mode setting bumps the revs and delays upshifts from the 9-speed and, if so inclined, one can make use of the steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters. As far as ride quality is concerned, on pavement the Evoque offers a composed, comfortable and quiet ride. I didn鈥檛 take my tester through any closed course testing, but it handled normal driving situations on public roads with ease.
