Feedback, The Beauty And The Bane
Theres nothing wrong with this, were all at different stages in our writing confidence. As your desire to write grows, you will soon progress to that next stage, and welcome the feedback. In the meantime, reading and offering your help to others is the next best thing you can do for your own writing. Giving and receiving feedback makes you aware of the basic rules of good English use. If you think you don't need to worry about grammar, spelling, punctuation, rhythm, focus, syntax, and structure, think again. They are the key to clarity. Writers want to make sense. They want to take the reader into their fantasy world and make them believe. Learn the rules. Break em later. The best rules cant be taught or put into an easy list, but you can learn them by reading excellent writing. If you know what works, youll strive to emulate it. Its also good to review bad writing. Youll find that youre learning and hopefully avoiding the same mistakes. Reviewers use their time to carefully read an item and plan their review. They offer encouragement and helpful advice, but honest crits can sting. Before replying, think about what was said. Harriet Silkwood is a reviewer of new writers and has written newsletters and articles on the subject of novice writing and reviewing with common sense and encouragement.
In most cases the most helpful tips on writing effective sales copy would likely focus on where to even start. Since copy writing involves influencing people to take a specified action, should your focus be on the people you are targeting, the product or service you offer or does it even matter. Well there really is no 'one answer fits all' to this question. The fact is, it is more a matter of your personal skills and what inspires you as a copy writer. Are you more comfortable with targeting the wants and needs of people, or perhaps you like to promote the benefits of what it is you have to offer! Being that writing copy involves the use of creativity and insight, it is more a matter of what works best for you. Being there is a beginning and end to all sales copy; it matters little where you begin as long as it all flows in a sensible and persuasive manner.
Jaguar Land Rover is counting on a new modular platform and new model lines to boost sales and profits in the coming years. The new platform, referred to as the Modular Longitudinal Architecture (MLA), will make its debut in a redesigned Land Rover Defender due around 2020 and will eventually underpin most models at Jaguar Land Rover by the mid-2020s. There will also be some new model lines, two of which will be launched by Land Rover between 2021 and 2024. The information was revealed during a June 22 investor meeting, Automotive News (subscription required) reported Monday. 276 million in the second quarter of 2018, the automaker's first quarterly loss in three years. And a further boost to profits should be generated by the introduction of the MLA platform, which will help shed costs by replacing five platforms currently used by Jaguar Land Rover's fleet. The five platforms include the D7U (Discovery, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover), D7A (XE, XF, F-Pace, Range Rover Velar), D8 (E-Pace, Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque), and unique platforms for the XJ and I-Pace.
The improvements were made because Rover needed to meet tighter US and California emissions standards. As with all Land Rover vehicles designed since the Series models, which had switchable two-wheel and four-wheel drive, the transmission is a permanent four wheel drive system, with a locking centre differential at the transfer box. In common with much of the rest of the Land Rover range, the handbrake acts on the transmission at the back of the transfer box. Therefore locking all wheels when applied. In Japan, a badge-engineered version of the Series I was offered, called the Honda Crossroad. The Rover companies had cross-holding relationship with Honda U.K. The Series II Discovery debuted in autumn 1998 and in the US in 1999. Land Rover promoted that the Discovery Series II had been modified with 720 'differences'. The interior and exterior was re-worked to be less utilitarian, but it was still similar to the Series I. Every body panel was new except the rear door outer skin.
Then, to give her clients a better high for their buck (and enable her clients to hide their marijuana use), she begins to package the pot in various baked goods that she makes in her home kitchen. One client cleans her out of baked goods in one visit. Lesson: Give your clients what they want, not what you think they need. Many service business owners head into the marketplace and have no idea if they offer a product or service that the public wants. Or, they offer what they think is good for a client rather than what will solve a client's pressing problem. Do your market research to understand the needs and problems of your target market. 4. The failure of most businesses is due to undercapitalization. Nancy's personal expenses are exceeding her income, and she approaches her supplier, Heylia, to give her inventory on credit. Heylia laughs in her face, but after Nancy begs, she's permitted to hock her leased Land Rover and multi-carat wedding ring with Heylia to get the quantity of pot that she needs for the week. Lesson: Being self-employed is a financial roller-coaster ride.
