Lexus LF-1 Limitless Crossover Teased Ahead Of 2019 Detroit Motor Show
Lexus has unveiled a teaser shot of an all-new luxury crossover called the LF-1 Limitless. The concept car will make its official debut at the Detroit Motor Show in January. Like most Lexus鈥?concepts, it鈥檚 been designated with the LF badge that has only been applied once to a road car on the legendary LFA supercar. Little has been officially released regarding the new concept other than that the CALTY design studio in Southern California created the LF-1 Limitless鈥?swooping coupe/SUV design. It will also be the Japanese marque鈥檚 flagship crossover, taking over from the current range-topper, the RX. The photograph that accompanies the LF-1 Limitless release is of the rear of the car and taken at a high, offset angle, it looks like it could be a two-door crossover, similar in vein to the Toyota C-HR. There鈥檚 no line segmenting the side windows, hinting at a two-door coupe-SUV design. Other clues come in the form of the crossover鈥檚 coupe styling around the wheel arches, while the rear spoiler above the window has an interesting gap in the middle so that it looks like two mini spoilers. The rear taillight is big and extends across the rear tailgate to the wheel arches on either flank. When brightening the image, two information screens can bee seen inside the cabin. The one on the left is a digital instrument cluster with a navigation screen being displayed, while on the right a vehicle information display can be seen through the panoramic sunroof above. Are you excited to see what Lexus has in store for the 2018 Detroit Motor Show? Let us know in the comments!

In this highly convoluted world of crossover vehicles and soft-road compact utility vehicles, the Land Rover Freelander 2 stands out. Terrain Response system is standard and enables the driver to choose from a variety of settings that enable the vehicle to acclimatize automatically depending on the given road condition. If you want the true capabilities of a Land Rover Discovery or Defender in a smaller and less expensive package then the Freelander 2 is more than enough to meet all your needs. It is easy to fault the Freelander 2 when it comes to exterior design but many consider the styling to be well-adept for the intended purpose. The masculine stance stays true to the Land Rover tradition but the smaller dimensions of the Freelander 2 gave it a more humane appeal, too. The Discovery and Range Rover has this sense of airiness and superiority when on the road but the Freelander 2 has a hint of subtlety in the design. West London dealers of the Freelander 2 will be able to offer you a test drive so you can accurately asses the capabilities of this brilliant vehicle first hand. It is foolish to call the Freelander as a crossover vehicle as the off-road capabilities alone will make a Toyota RAV 4 or Honda CR-V hide their faces in shame. When it comes to on-road manners, however, this is where the Freelander 2 impresses the most. It is one of the most comfortable small SUV's that you will ever drive, bar none.

So is deflation a blessing in disguise? Not to analysts such as Richard Jerram, head of Asian economics at Macquarie Securities (MGU). He points out that as businesses cut prices to compete, it becomes harder to borrow and invest. Deflation, adds Jerram, will steadily sap Japan's nominal growth and deprive the government of tax revenue. Eventually, Japan may no longer be able to finance its borrowing. The country will then either have to default on debt that's about twice the size of the economy or devalue its currency to reduce the real value of liabilities. The bottom line: Although deflation ultimately poses a serious threat to Japan, ordinary consumers are benefiting from lower prices. It is painful to watch someone gather the facts then jump to the wrong conclusions. Even worse than Ito's fallacious "bottom line" conclusion is the thought process from Richard Jerram at Macquarie Securities (MGU), supportive of that conclusion.
