Jeep has selected Goodyear Wrangler to be its tire provider for the upcoming lineup. Goodyear Wrangler SR-A tires in size P215/65R17 was incorporated to establish Jeep parts to produce more efficient vehicles. Said tire will serve as original equipment for the 2007 version of Jeep Compass. The latter is the new compact SUV from the automaker which is based on Dodge Caliber and GS platform. Said model is now available for dealership. It can be recalled that Compass was introduced at the 2006 North American International Auto Show last January. Shortly after an image of the Lego Technic 2020 Land Rover Defender emerged online, an image snapped of the new Defender鈥檚 digital gauge cluster has landed on our desks. It provides us with our first look at the vehicle鈥檚 exterior design free of any camouflage. The image was reportedly shared online through a number of Land Rover forums and soon made its way onto Twitter. It shows a digital side view of the new Defender and reveals that it will have a much more modern design than the previous-generation model. Up front, the new Land Rover appears to have a slightly more rounded face with circular LED headlights. Elsewhere, there are black wing mirrors as well as black B-and D-pillars alongside a body-colored floating C-pillar. There also appears to be a small side window incorporated into the roof much like some previous hardtop variants. The vehicle鈥檚 exterior design isn鈥檛 overly surprising and is roughly what we predicted it would look like. Buyers should be pleased that the new Defender retains a boxy shape and some of the curved edges and new features will certainly make it appear more modern and road-focused. Underpinning the new Defender is a modified version of the MLA platform used by the likes of the Range Rover Sport and Land Rover Discovery. We don鈥檛 yet know what powertrains will be available for customers but do anticipate to see a number of 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol and diesel units paired with a four-wheel drive option as well as manual and automatic transmissions.
