THE ULTIMATE CAR GUIDE

THE ULTIMATE CAR GUIDE

The Active model is the base while the Allure has more fancy features added. Unlike the 3008 crossover, this vehicle can be had for less than a hundred grand and we think its one heck of a vehicle: something that seats seven with a French flair. Not much changes occurred during its run, which is a good thing, so focus on the condition more than the year model. European brands would usually have maintenance costs that are higher than the Japanese so if you are the kuripot type, this is not the car for you. There are available specialist parts for French cars and fuel consumption is good, since this vehicle is a diesel powered one. Problem points for this vehicle mostly involve the transmission. But if there is one thing to be careful of, it is the diesel injectors given the fact the engine is of advanced state. Modern in style yet practical, this vehicle does hit the middle spot which isn't flashy nor plain looking. All models come with a panoramic sun roof and daytime running lights as standard equipment.

Contrary to popular belief, you can still get cheap car insurance with great benefits to help protect you and your family. Thankfully, you no longer have to trust one single auto insurance company when they say they're the cheapest. You can easily compare prices for top car insurance companies online and let them compete to earn your business. These pieces of information will help the car insurance company tailor a quote to fit your needs and budget while giving you the protection you need in case of an accident. But beyond comparing online quotes, there are still other ways to help reduce your car insurance premium. For example, many insurance companies give you a better deal when you simply get an online quote. Others give good student discounts if you have a certain grade point average. Even the make and model of your car can lower your premiums to a certain degree.

The first article you linked is simply a list of the ten best-selling cars in particular segments. Mazda does not have the dealership network that Honda and Toyota do, not does it have the same reputation for reliability that those automakers have. Something else worth noting is that Mazda was under Ford's control until late 2008. I believe that all Mazdas (except for the Miata and RX-8) were built on platforms and powered by engines and transmissions shared with Ford. I'm not sure why there are no Mazdas on the second list (I'm surprised the Miata isn't on there) but Ford's involvement may have something to do with it. Edit - also, if you're looking at a current-generation Camry, it has a new four-cylinder engine that has only been around for a couple of years. The XSE models still have a V6 that is an evolved version of the 3.5 liter V6 that has been floating around Toyota's lineup for roughly two decades now.

Sometimes a smaller compromise can fulfill greater expectations. Take the 2014 LR2, for example - the baby Land Rover. It may be the entry-level vehicle of the brand but it? 11-speaker 380-watt Meridian sound system and other built-in luxuries and amenities. The Land Rover LR2 was extensively reworked last year. Modifications included a revised exterior design, upgraded interior treatment, an enhanced navigation system and other technical tweaks. Most importantly, last year? 2013 LR2 replaced the old 3.2-litre naturally-aspirated six-cylinder engine with a new lightweight, turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder motor making 240 hp (up 10 hp) and 250 lb/ft of torque (up 16 lb/ft). The new engine is also nearly 40 kg lighter with a few fuel efficiency tricks up its sleeve - variable valve timing, high-pressure direct fuel injection and Land Rover鈥檚 Intelligent Power System Management (IPSM) which features Smart Regenerative Charging. With this innovative IPSM technology reducing parasitic drag, the alternator usually recharges the battery only when the vehicle is decelerating, recovering kinetic energy that would normally be wasted instead of constantly leeching power from the engine. All these factors contribute to an improved but somewhat optimistic 12/8.4L/100km (city/hwy) fuel economy rating.

The new exhaust layout also suggests powertrain changes and the need to better control diesel emissions. Still, we won鈥檛 know until more information comes to light. As for the front, this test mule has a slightly revised fascia with very minor changes. The lower chin sticks out further than before and with a sharper edge, giving the crossover a more aggressive appearance. The rest seems oddly unchanged despite the swirly camouflage. Note: 2017 Land Rover Discovery Sport pictured here. Our spy photographer was unable to snap shots of the interior, but we鈥檇 bet it would have been a jumbled mess of wires and testing equipment, anyway. For the 2020 production version, we鈥檇 bet on an updated dashboard layout with hints and cues from Land Rover鈥檚 swankier models, say the Range Rover Velar and new Range Rover Sport. Upper trimmed Discovery Sports might come with digital gauges, an improved head-up display, and other nifty Jaguar Land Rover technology. Expect to pay a premium for those, though.
