Land Rover Discovery (2019)

Land Rover Discovery (2019)

New Land Rover Discovery has been fitted with advanced semi-autonomous technology to make the task of towing a trailer or horsebox as safe and simple as possible. Paired with the vehicle's class-leading towing capacity of up to 3,500kg, this technology makes New Discovery the most capable tow vehicle in its class. Advanced Tow Assist takes the stress out of reversing by allowing the driver to guide a trailer, horsebox or caravan into position without even using the steering wheel. The semi-autonomous technology helps to carry out difficult reversing manoeuvres using the rotary Terrain Response 2 controller on the central console to guide a trailer into the desired parking spot. Once the driver has configured the system on the central touchscreen by entering key trailer details, responsive trajectory lines appear on the feed from cameras in the door mirrors showing the anticipated direction of the trailer. By steering the trailer using the rotary Terrain Response 2 controller and operating the pedals, the driver is able to reverse park trailers with absolute confidence as the vehicle automatically calculates the necessary steering inputs.

I pulled over to put more fuel in and realized I had given all my fuel to Brett! But I did make it to the gas station! I put in 10.6 gallons and filled Brett's with petrol. Albertson's was my next stop as I needed to resupply for another week. I also stopped in at Walmart and bought a camping chair reluctantly, as it was made in China. Chores finished I headed the 22 miles back to Brett only to get to Trona in the dark. Somewhere in the dark I made a wrong turn and luckily Brett was on the radio and talked me in and 2 other vehicles were leaving so I could see what road I should have been on. For dinner I had stopped at Subway and took advantage of my warm car to eat it in. Followed by another cold, beautiful, starry night! The next morning we were going to wait until 1000 for anyone to arrive but while cooking breakfast I realize I would not have enough camp fuel to last the week.

Land Rover Series II is released at the Amsterdam Motor Show - ten years after the first Land Rover was launched at the same event. The Land Rover Series II features a wider body with barrelled sides and sills to conceal the chassis. It also debuts with a new 2.25-litre petrol engine, and is very positively received. In another landmark of a legendary vehicle brand, the 250 000th Land Rover rolls off the line. The Land Rover range is now known as the Series IIA, and the capacity of the diesel engine is increased to allow for greater power output. A 12-seater Station Wagon is introduced. Negotiations with General Motors are completed - and Land Rover acquires the rights to an all-alloy lightweight 3.5-litre V8 petrol engine. In April, Land Rover production reaches the half million mark. The Rover Company merges with truck manufacturer Leyland, which had acquired the rival Coventry-based car maker Triumph. A six-cylinder 2.6-litre engine is made available as an option on 109-inch wheelbase models. Leyland - including Rover and Triumph - join the British Motor Corporation (BMC).

Would you recommend this vehicle? My lr2 model is midsize and white. It has four doors and seats five comfortably. I am absolutely obsessed with the lr2! I was fortunate enough to have found a great deal on it to be my first car, and now I never want to drive anything different! I use it to drive back and forth to college and it is always so comfortable to ride in with exceptional performance on the road. I have only had to take it in once since purchasing 4 years ago and it was due to a gear shifting to high! Which was my fault, not the cars! I love my Land Rover. One of the best vehicles I've had. Super comfortable vehicle and very spacious. Can comfortably sit five, but best for a family of four (but of course not strict to a family). Great performance and extremely reliable. Haven't had an issue since I purchased my Land Rover two years ago. The tech features that record your habits in the vehicle. I like the luxury brand of vehicle. I like how smooth is drives. I do not like the color grey, I wish it was darker.
