Strategic Analysis Of Ford Motor Company And Tata Motors
The fundamental approach to this approach is that an investor would not like to pay the cost price of the asset but would rather like to pay the replacement cost of the asset as per the market valuation. This approach is not a seller friendly approach because certain assets devaluate in the market very rapidly due to technological changes, currency fluctuations or reduction of inflation. Examples of such assets are computers, cars, mobile phones, etc. However buyers do like this valuation because asset based valuation may end up achieving the lowest value of a company assuming that it is a startup. Some assets like buildings and land do result in larger valuations. Book Value is also called Net Worth. It is defined as the value of shareholders' equities stated in the balanced sheet that includes capital and reserves. This is purely based on accounting statements and hence is unlikely to be realistic. This is the Book Value on the balanced sheet of a company that includes the values of assets and liabilities adjusted to market values. The term liquidation is directly related to cash.

Land Rover and Acura recently launched entries into this growing segment, so how is the revised X3 looking these days? Three years ago, the BMW X3 was a novelty: a slick-handling luxury compact SUV. We liked it, but didn鈥檛 love it. And a fresh thing we found. Technically, a freshened thing: for 2007, BMW gave its cute-ute a significant update鈥攊nside, outside, and under the hood. But what remained to be seen was how far these changes would go towards ingratiating the X3 to us to the extent that we could actually love the thing, not merely accept it. Moreover, would they help justify the X3鈥檚 ever-climbing price? Well, it looks better. Or at least somewhat better. Now that all other BMWs鈥攊ncluding the larger, all-new X5鈥攈ave taken on 鈥渇lame-surfacing鈥?overtures, the X3鈥檚 wedgy, angular flanks look even more dated than they did when the X3 was introduced for the 2004 model year.
That means that NASA will have to restart those efforts in 2-3 years and then allow the new technologies to reach maturity before it can fly MSR. Every mission roadmap has certain assumptions built into it that I refer to here as a philosophy. One such assumption is that Mars will retain the high priority (and high proportion of NASA鈥檚 planetary budget) that it has now. Another key assumption is that progress in understanding Mars is best served by flying MSR at the earliest opportunity. Another approach would be to wait an additional 5-10 years. In that time period, fly multiple rovers that increase our knowledge of the surface and ready-to-return caches of samples. That way, proponents of this view hold, we have a better chance of returning the most important sample. The technology for MSR could continue to mature in parallel. Those favoring MSR at the earliest date prevailed in the previous roadmap discussions. Another key assumption is the level of international cooperation. ESA, JAXA, and Russia, for example, can clearly mount sophisticated missions to Mars. Other nations can or will be able to soon send missions to Mars. ESA and NASA are planning to cooperate on a 2016 rover mission. Discussions are underway to make MSR a multi-agency effort. International efforts, though, are complicated and can tangle up missions in the domestic politics and budgets of each partner. Cooperation will be done, but how much does a space agency want to make its Mars roadmap dependent on partners?
