Watch NASA Build The 2019 Red Planet Rover

The "Seeing 2020" live video feed allows the public to watch engineers and technicians assemble and test NASA's next Mars rover in a clean room at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. 鈥淵ou can watch as JPL engineers and technicians assemble and test the rover before it embarks next year on one of the most technologically challenging interplanetary missions ever designed,鈥?says NASA. The webcam is named "Seeing 2020" and shows the construction of the Mars 2020 rover from a vantage point above the clean room - minus any audio. Mars 2020 project manager John McNamee of JPL, in a statement. Mars 2020 rover is being built in the High Bay 1 where the work day starts at 8 a.m. PDT (11 a.m. EDT) Mon.-Fri and will continue for many months before it is shipped to the Kennedy Space Center for final assembly and testing. The other main components comprising the back shell, descent stage and cruise stage have already been assembled and tested. From now until Sept. 30, you can send your name to Mars by adding it to a chip to be loaded on board for the journey.

In January Jaguar Land Rover announced it was to make 4,500 job cuts, mainly in the UK, following 1,500 job losses last year. The PSA deal would raise fears of cuts production in the UK and further job losses - a another major blow to Britain's flagging car industry. PSA shares jumped after publication of the documents, before falling back after Tata released its statement, and were down 2.85 percent as of 2.31pm GMT. On principle we are open to opportunities that could create long-term value for PSA Group and its shareholders,' said Alain Le Gouguec, a spokesman for the Paris-based manufacturer. PSA is setting new profitability records even as it continues to integrate Opel/Vauxhall, acquired from General Motors in 2017, and has previously signalled openness to further acquisitions. The relative fuel-efficiency of its vehicle technologies is a valuable asset as carmakers battle to meet tougher European emissions targets and avoid huge fines. Jaguar Land Rover has been struggling in recent months, making redundancies across its business and cutting back production at its plants. In 1951 Land Rover was handed a Royal Warrant by King George V11, and over the generations many of the Royals been transported in the vehicles.

What should affected owners do? If you own an affected car, you should be contacted shortly. You will be asked to go to an authorised garage/dealership so the repairs and software update can be carried out. The fix will be free. Make sure you have your car鈥檚 VIN to hand. What is a VIN? A VIN is a unique 17 digit vehicle identification number (VIN), given to each car. You can usually find your car鈥檚 VIN by standing outside of the car, and looking at where the windscreen meets the dashboard on the driver鈥檚 side. It may also be on the inside of the driver鈥檚 door. If you can鈥檛 find it in the car, try your insurance policy or your vehicle registration document. How will my car be affected? We asked Jaguar Land Rover if owners would experience a difference in performance. JLR responded by saying owners may experience minor changes to the 鈥榦verall vehicle experience鈥? JLR also said that petrol owners may notice the stop/start operating at lower vehicle temperatures. Additionally, certain 2016 and 2017 Range Rover Evoque models will also need new tyres fitted.

ECR can change all that for you! We now offer Tdi engines for Land Rover Defender 90s and 110s with manual transmissions. No matter what your requirements we can install reliable, efficient, quiet, long lasting diesel power in your Rover. The benefits of the a turbo diesel engine are too numerous to mention, so we'll cover just a few basics about the engines. The Tdi not only requires fewer services to stay in top shape, but the cost of doing those services is less than with a Rover V8. There are no spark plugs or ignition parts to fail or wear out. Other than oil changes the only service items that need professional service are roughly every 12,000 miles. Just as any truck driver in the USA will tell you, diesel engines last a long, long time. A Rover V8 starts to show some pretty major wear at just over 100,000 miles, at that time the Tdi is just getting warmed up for a long life in your Rover.
