Jaguar Land Rover: Leading The Way To Growth

Jaguar Land Rover: Leading The Way To Growth

Simplification and standardisation of systems have undoubtedly helped Solihull鈥檚 10,000-strong workforce to deliver JLR鈥檚 strategy and adopt continuous change. More than 60 KPIs (key performance indicators) have been refined into 18 KPIs that drive operations across all three JLR sites and the four technology areas at Solihull (body, paint, trim and logistics). Even 18 KPIs sounds like a lot. Which ones are really in focus at shop floor level? 鈥淒ivert Free - that鈥檚 getting it right first time, then Operational Performance in terms of hours in production, also Value Added and Hours Per Unit produced. They are the top four measures in every team and work group,鈥?explains business excellence manager Wayne Killick. Killick adds that having a uniform set of KPIs has led to strong cooperation with a common purpose across the business, 鈥渟ometimes with too much help offered! 鈥? JLR鈥檚 entry for The Manufacturer MX Awards 2017 was a team effort too.

It will offer similar comfort and premiumness as the current Harrier. The Tiago JTP will come with some cosmetic upgrades and a revamped engine as well as focusing on the performance side. The Tigor JTP will be co-developed by Tata Motors and Jayem Automotives. In terms of styling, the car will get some aerodynamic updates over the standard model. Also, the 1.2-liter Revotron turbo-petrol engine will be tuned to churn out more power and torque than the regular version. Tata Harrier is the most exciting product the brand is preparing to launch in India. Based on the Land Rover鈥檚 entry-level SUV platform, the car takes the design cue from the JLR models like Land Rover Discovery Sport, Jaguar E-Pace and Range Rover Evoque. Tata 45X is the premium hatchback that will challenge the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Volkswagen Polo and Hyundai Elite i20. The concept version of this upcoming premium hatchback was displayed at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo and garnered pretty good attention from visitors.

I love what I do far too much. It's simple, so I can keep it short. I used to spend 70% of my time chasing sponsors, only to be instructed what to say and when to say it. I was awfully bad at this, mainly because I wanted their money, but argued with them when they asked me to say some stuff. This combination didn't work well. I might have found life far easier if I had acquiesced, but I just couldn't make it sincere, when it wasn't. I'm a poor actor. Many channels fund their creations, truck builds, expeditions and content with product sponsors, but they have to handle the scripted product promos and all that stuff. But for me, Patreon is the answer. It means I have no need of traditional sponsors, don't spend time chasing them, and I can stay truly independent. So your contribution not only pays for this independence in a very direct sense, but you get front-row seats to everything I do and create. You become my 'people'.

Nissan Pathfinder is a rugged and strong built yet refined off roader. Nissan hasn't ignored the practicality and that is shown with a large cabin. The pathfinder is a hardworking vehicle which doesn't feel comfortable when on road. The ride is bouncy and the engine is growling , unlike other SUVs of the same class, the Pathfinder is nowhere near luxurious. However it serves the purpose very well of being a simple, reliable and powerful workhorse and costs about 4,000 less than the major rival Land Rover Discovery. The Nissan Pathfinder has simple but meaner boxy looks which doesn't mean it is an ugly car. The cabin is inspired y the Navara, and is enormous and practically designed. It boast full seven seats and a split opening tail gate. There are many stowage spaces to hold your bits and bobs. The materials used are rugged and of high quality. The Pathfinder is powered by a 2.5 litre four cylinder engine with five speed manual or six speed automatic gearbox. It returns 187 bhp and does 0-62mph in 10.7secs and 11secs with automatic and manual gearbox respectively. The manual gear box requires patience when changing the gears.
