FOUR DAYS LATER, THE VEHICLE STOPPED ACCELERATING AND IT FELT AS THOUGH THE VEHICLE WAS IN NEUTRAL. THE CONSUMER LOOKED DOWN AND THE DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT HAD ILLUMINATED. WHEN THE THIRD INCIDENT OCCURRED, THE CONSUMER PULLED OVER, BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHUT OFF. THE REDUCED ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AGAIN AND THEN THE BATTERY LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE STEERING WHEEL THEN LOCKED. FIRST BRAND NEW LANDROVER LR2 HAD FAILED TO OPERATE WHILE DRIVING TWICE. BROUGHT INTO DEALERSHIP--TOLD ME TRANSMISSION FAILED AND GAVE ME ANOTHER NEW LR2. THIS SECOND LR2 HAS OVERHEATED TWICE (AGAIN, WHILE DRIVING). THE MOST RECENT EVENT OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING IN THE CITY AND SUDDENLY STARTED TO OVERHEAT WHILE DRIVING. I IMMEDIATELY DROPPED IT OFF AT THE DEALERSHIP WHICH WAS NEARBY AND SMOKE WAS COMING OUT OF THE HOOD. IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR GOING ON TO FOUR WEEKS NOW.
