Jaguar Land Rover, the UK鈥檚 leading manufacturer of premium luxury vehicles continues its sales success with a strong November performance, retailing 37,403 vehicles in the month, up 25% versus the same period last year. Sustained sales growth continues for Jaguar Land Rover with increases in: the China Region up 42%, North America up 37%, Asia Pacific up 32%, Europe up 7%, other overseas markets up 42%, with UK sales consistent with the previous year. Commenting on the November performance Andy Goss, Jaguar Land Rover Group Sales Operations Director said: 鈥淣ovember has been another solid month in what has so far, been a great year for Jaguar Land Rover. Our continued sales success is a testament to our sustained investment in new and exciting products which are driving growth internationally and attracting new customers to our brands鈥? In November, Jaguar sold 6,244 vehicles up 55% reflecting particularly strong demand for the XJ and all XF derivatives, up 62% and 39% respectively. Jaguar demonstrated significant growth in the China Region, with North America up 105%, Asia Pacific up 62%, Europe up 5%, other overseas markets up 16%, The UK was down 5% as the registration year comes to an end. In November, Land Rover sold 31,159 vehicles, up 20% with strong performances from all models in the range: Defender up 27% and Range Rover Evoque up 10%. Range Rover and Range Rover Sport continue to sell well across all markets.
The Land Rover Defender is one of the longest-running vehicles ever made, but Land Rover has officially axed it after 67 years. There is a next-generation Defender coming, but the original is still the original, which makes this custom pickup version of the car something extra special. It was built by D.A.P. Enterprises in Springfield, Vermont and they call it a Sahara pickup. Underneath that unique body it鈥檚 all Defender, except for a 4.0-liter V8 that they took from a Range Rover. There鈥檚 permanent four-wheel-drive, a locking center differential and 11 inches of ground clearance to go anywhere you darn well please. According to New York Daily News, the body and frame were done by a UK company and brought to the US to complete the Defender. It鈥檚 a one-of-a-kind vehicle and will definitely attract attention with its bright yellow paint job. It鈥檚 also currently up on eBay should you have a little extra cash left over after all your holiday shopping is complete. Despite there being lots of Defenders out there, prices are high so this one won鈥檛 come cheap. 49,500 or you can make an offer. It was recently up for auction and didn鈥檛 sell, so this is a relist. If you make an offer, you never know, you might just walk away with this Defender.
This review is for Sergey. He helped me lease an Evoque Rangerover. His service was professional and when financing wanted to charge me a higher rate than what I expected, he fought for me and got the price of the lease lowered. But more importantly he had me load the LandRover app on my phone and log in. Fast forward two years later someone steals the spare key to my car and the takes the Evoque from my house early one morning. I called the police, I called my insurance agent and even LandRover. Everyone is sympathetic and offers hope. But thank G-d for Sergey because he is the only one that tells me the car has a tracker on the app that he had me download the day I leased the car! I logged in, saw where my car was at, called the Police and a few hours later I had my car back and the thief was arrested. I want to thank Sergey for his help. He was calm, caring and confident.
