Not "Out Of Africa'' But "Into Africa!''
Baboons I can tell - you REALLY come to life at night! Any way Derek loved it, sleeping amongst them all, but I can say I have done it that鈥檚 all! I was convinced there were other things like big snakes watching over us too and I am not too keen to share a bed with one of them. Onwards the next day now directly towards the Mara, another 4 hour journey to Embu Campsite on the Nightingale stud and farm at Nakuru. For fear of being rude here, I must explain the area was stunning; something between Wiltshire and Scotland comes to mind, green rolling hills, fabulous large trees and the odd English style mansion dotted about the area. Easy to see why the Brits settled here; just another little bit of Britain really, but a bit nicer climate and lots of people to work for you ..affordably. UK. For me Nakuru was not 鈥楢frican 鈥?enough! I love the rough terrain and bush, not this.
Rearview camera is optional. The LR2 is undeniably Land Rover, perhaps better looking than the bigger LR4, which appears boxy and slightly awkward. The LR2 remains more elegant and curved. Proportionally, it works and definitely looks more expensive than the relatively average price tag suggests. Headlights were revamped for 2013 with the latest xenon and LED technology, set off with a new graphic design in the front running lights. The grille and fog lamp bezels sport a bright finish with subtle paint detailing the grille surround, insert bars and fender vent. At the side, the LR2 presents narrow A-pillars, in an attempt to improve vision for the driver. Below is a thin aluminum-look engine vent, right next to the protruding fenders and the 18-inch standard alloy wheels. Two options of 19-inch wheels are available. At the back of the Land Rover LR2, the taillights receive the same treatment as the front, with a slightly more modern design.
If symbol stays on after engine has started or comes on whilst driving, it indicates a fault with the ABS system. Vehicle can still be driven as normal brakes remain unaffected. However, avoid heavy braking and seek assistance from a Land Rover specialist as soon as possible. The symbol will illuminate along with a message in the message centre to inform that one or more tyres are significantly under-inflated. Check tyre pressures as soon as possible. The symbol will flash to indicate fault with the system. Illuminates (amber) when the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system is in Follow mode. Follow mode on is the default setting for adaptive cruise control. Follow mode off automatically cancels if adaptive cruise control is not used for a prolonged period of time. To disable follow mode, press and hold the gap decrease button (4) on the steering wheel controls. The airbag symbol will illuminate when the ignition is switched on and will extinguish after approximately 6 seconds. After this initial system check, if the symbol remains illuminated or comes on whilst driving, it indicates a fault with the airbag system.

Stuart from Sydney, Australia with a Land Rover Discovery (2) TD5 138 said: I ordered a chip for my TD5 after some research. CHIP Express answered all my questions prior to purchase very quickly and efficiently. A nice customer service experience. Although a little nervous the nicely detailed instructions guided me through the install painlessly. What a pleasant surprise, my Discovery TD5 now purrs up hills and overtakes with ease with just the touch of the accelerator. It鈥檚 nice when promises are delivered and customer service is above excellent! Service is impeccable and the resulting driving experience second to none.
Both models have a similar name as well as a very similar design. So are there differences between the Land Rover Discover and Discovery Sport? The answer is yes. In fact, even though they share a similar name, the Land Rover Discovery and Discovery Sport are two different models that target two markets and different types of buyers. There is also a price difference between the two models. For those who are unsure which model is best suited to their needs, this small comparison should help. The Land Rover Discovery is larger and has more space to offer than the Discovery Sport. There鈥檚 up to 2,500 litres of cargo space in the Discovery and it can accommodate up to seven passengers. The Sport only offers space for five passengers, but its trunk can accommodate up to 951 litres with all seats in place. So, you have to ask yourself, do you really need the third row of seats? The Land Rover Discovery Sport comes standard with a 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder engine producing 237 horsepower and 251 lb-ft of torque. It is also possible to opt for a similar but more powerful engine with 286 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Conversely, the Discovery offers a standard 3.0-litre V6 engine with 340 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. It's also possible to opt for a 3.0-litre diesel V6 that develops 258 horsepower with 443 lb-ft of torque. Ultimately, the Land Rover Discovery Sport will be the most powerful of the two, both in terms of power and handling. It is also more fuel-efficient. 63,900. Obviously, the level of luxury and refinement is higher in the Discovery, but the Sport is no slouch either in that department.
