Land Rover has just announced that an iconic British actor will be filmed alongside the new Sport as it makes its global debut. They did not reveal who the iconic British actor will be, but we are wondering if it could be one of the famous James Bond stars. Land Rover is also working with a Hollywood director and production company to create the unique reveal of the 2014 Range Rover Sport. The New York launch will be revealed both to a live audience in Manhattan and via a global online broadcast. New York city is the largest Range Rover Sport market in the world, and is a strategic place for Land Rover to make the unique reveal. The 2014 Range Rover Sport is all-new and will feature Land Rover鈥檚 high-strength aluminum unibody architecture. The new Sport will shed a few pounds and should be the fastest, most responsive and agile vehicle Land Rover has ever produced. As the anticipation builds for the global premiere on March 26th, Land Rover will allow guests to register online ahead of the event. Audiences around the globe will be able to see the live drive and reveal via the internet microsite. But they must register to receive their personal invitation to view the reveal and be the first to receive news and information.
This Blog has been created to record our ownership of our Land Rover 130 (Wolf) which we purchased as a 鈥減roject鈥?vehicle in November 2016. The Land Rover is a Pulse ambulance. The body is a fourth generation ambulance body developed by Marshall Aviation in Cambridge. It is mounted on a military specification Land Rover Defender 130 - Wolf. So why have we bought a Land Rover? Before going any further I should probably clarify 鈥渨e鈥? It is probably best to read 鈥淚鈥?instead of 鈥渨e鈥?as Kathleen could quite easily live without another Project in our lives and allowed me to buy the Land Rover as my 鈥渉obby鈥? Yet again I appreciate having such a tolerant wife who has let me do these things with little complaint. Although a reluctant participant in the "project", Kathleen will however enthusiastically join me to travel in it once it is finished. We have bought a Land Rover to convert it into an overland vehicle, which we can use to travel in when time allows. Despite all its pluses, it has a number of downsides however when it comes to overland travel. The lack of internal space means that all living is outside.

They also provided me with a spreadsheet which contains all relevant oil specifications for Land Rovers and according to this spreadsheet sequence E2 is prescribed for the 300Tdi engine. Must include API service categories CG-4 and CF and at least ACEA E2-96. There are a few mineral premium oils available in the RSA that meet with both abovementioned API and ACEA criteria and exceed the requirements of Land Rover by far. In each case I am providing you with only the diesel service categories and in most cases only the relevant specifications. Most of the diesel lubricants also carry the service category SJ for petrol engines and a whole lot of builder specifications. Unfortunately there are no full synthetic or even part synthetic oils that meet with the above mentioned criteria. The fact is that some lubricant manufacturers do not always value compliance with the specifications of API and ACEA together. They seem to be happy with just the one or the other.

I have recently bought a Foxwell NT510 Jaguar Land Rover hand held scanner and it鈥檚 quite good. Its fast, convenient to use and can even show live data in a graph mode. It can see all the modules (although it can鈥檛 communicate with my L/H headlight, however nothing else can either). I first used it in anger last month to monitor the transmission fluid temperature when changing the old oil. It鈥檚 not able to program our modules (although it can on Land Rovers) or keys etc and the screen display is not as bright or clear as the icarsoft i930. It does not have the function to reset the adaptations. It does not have any programming functions for our XK8鈥檚 or XKR鈥檚 but seems to be able to program many things on my neighbours Land Rover Discovery! If you need something just for reading and clearing codes from all the modules and diagnosis from live data, this seems to fit the bill.
