This Was A Very Scenic Drive
A shiny object drew my attention. It was an old aluminized mylar balloon. I picked it up and trashed it at a gas station. After stopping to take some photos (in the middle of nowhere), I almost stepped on a small rattlesnake. The little guy expressed his unhappiness by rattling quite loudly. It was about a foot long. In the first shot, he's looking at me. In this shot, he's squared off against my Land Rover. The sandy sections would have been easier if I'd gone the opposite direction. As it was, I hit each one going up hill. There were 3 sandy sections. The one just southwest of Old Dad Mountain is short and I'd describe it as deep sand (maybe 8 inches). This is the same spot I played in a week ago (see my post below). Here's a pic of the very deep sand, uphill with Old Dad Mountain on the horizon.
The MZR 2.5-liter reached EPA figures of 20 city and 28 highway with a manual transmission and 22 city and 29 highway with automatic transmission. Mazda 3 earned a good reputation for its treatment sporty and exciting, offering a pleasant driving experience with emphasis on the consistency of the driver's expectations and your car answers. Referred to the effect Toitsukan, linear and uniform is more specifically in the establishment of a smooth transition between acceleration, deceleration and lateral G forces in response to the fundamentals of driving, turning and stopping. This idea is not simply to give a strong response to the operations of the accelerator and steering for sporty driving, but rather to provide a linear view of the car all the answers to the control of driver operations.

This saves you money as even a great running V8 can't come close to that figure. The V8s typically get about 12-15 mpg. So you'll save on your fuel bills. Those of you who own a Defender 90 you know the downfalls of having roughly a 200 mile range in your tank with the V8. The same fuel tank is utilized in our Defender conversions, and the Tdi will extend the range to over 350 miles in the same vehicle! You'll stop for fuel less and if you go off roading in remote places you won't have to carry as many cans of spare gas. Think of the range in your 110! Gone are the days when most customers would have been scared off by diesel engines. Today's turbo diesel engines are powerful and efficient. They do not smoke or give off offensive diesel smells. The days of the leaky old diesel under the hood that won't get out of its own way are long gone. The Tdi's and Powerstrokes runs without a trace of smoke, and only gives a slight "poof" of smoke when cold starting, Operation of the glow plug starting system is now fully automatic.
The parallel sequential turbocharging system of the 3.0-litre diesel makes use of its larger, primary turbo most of the time. The smaller secondary turbo remains dormant when higher power is not required, reducing pumping losses and consequently, fuel consumption. A highly efficient, third generation common rail injection system with piezo injectors and fuel metering, also makes a substantial contribution to fuel economy. The new engine has been also been optimised for low-end torque as well as economy, making it possible to activate the lock-up clutch of the ZF HP-28 automatic transmission at lower speed. This reduces 'slip' in the hydraulic torque converter improving both fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The higher torque at lower rpm also enables longer gearing for more economical cruising. The Discovery incorporates several other energy saving features too. At standstill, the idle speed of the V6 has been reduced from 750rpm to 710rpm, giving a fuel saving without compromising refinement.
