Land Rover LR2 SUV
Along with subtle exterior and interior styling enhancements, the 2013 Land Rover LR2 gets a smaller, more fuel-efficient engine. The mission of the 2013 Land Rover LR2 is to effectively deliver the brand's historic attributes of off-road ability and luxury at a price point that can be met by the majority of luxury vehicle shoppers. At this, the LR2 is largely successful. But that doesn't necessarily translate to it being a great small luxury crossover SUV. With the LR2, you get many of the same features as the pricier models in the Rover lineup, such as the brand's neat Terrain Response system that optimizes traction-affecting vehicle components for any conditions. And its 8.3 inches of ground clearance imparts the same kind of high-stepping ability that enables the grander Range Rover to handle the gnarliest off-road challenges. Truly, the LR2 is the best off-roader in its class. This year's LR2 is also notable for what's under the hood. Land Rover has dropped last year's underwhelming and not particularly frugal inline six-cylinder and replaced it with a smaller, turbocharged four-cylinder. The Ford-sourced 2.0-liter engine is also used in the flashy (but less useful) Range Rover Evoque. There are other changes as well, including an improved electronic interface and subtle exterior updates.
Body color options include three new metallic shades unique to the Defender with Tasman Blue, Pangea Green and Gondwana Stone joining Fuji White, Eiger Grey, Santorini Black and Indus Silver in the exterior color palette. The Defender model鈥檚 constructivist modular interior architecture communicates its highly functional nature - underpinned by its practical layout and reductive design. This approach is most evident by the exposed, powder-coated magnesium cross car beam which is integral to the overall strength of the body architecture. This structural die-cast magnesium alloy beam, which is available in a range of finishes, features integrated grab handles to aid entry but also for a secure grip when the vehicle is performing technical off-road maneuvers(14). The main controls, including the central touchscreen, are ergonomically clustered within the magnesium frame to enable the installation of an innovative optional front row center jump seat while also allowing for movement across the front of the cabin. Practicality is a hallmark of Land Rover interior design and the new Defender comes with an abundance of storage opportunities including a choice of center consoles.

Here is a pic of the other side of the driveshaft. Then you need to remove the two brakets that hold the driveshaft. Each one has 4 bolts. The rear braket has two more bolts that hold the tank braket remove it. Don't worry the tank won't fall as it's being held in place by the other bolts. Then with the help of your buddy remove the driveshaft. There is an 8 mm bolt that holds the filler neck in place remove it. Loosen the clamp for the filler neck at the tank. Pull the filler neck off the tank and clear out of the way. Now unclip the parking brake lines (each one is clipped in like three places) and pull them. Put them out of the way. Now you need to remove the fuel line cover. And then undo the fuel line. You have to pull the yello clip down. Now the tank is ready to come down. You have four bolts left holding the tank in place. I would put a Jack with a big piece of wood to hold it in place and then take out the bolts in the pics. Then slowly lower the jack. You are going to have to tilt the pain in the behind tank to clear the differential. With the help of your buddy place the tank somewhere easy to work. Remove the flat head plastic nuts. With a BRASS punch remove the metal holder. Use brass you don't want to create sparks close to the fuel tank. Take the metal holder out and pull the white plastic. Is only going to move slightly. You need to disconnect the vent hose and then it becomes much easier to work with.
