Land Rover: Review: Range Rover Evoque





Boot space is good regardless, but families who want room will be better served with five doors. Under the skin, the Evoque has more options than any Range Rover before. As well as the obvious four-wheel drive layout there is a low-emission front-wheel drive model paired to the cleanest 148bhp, 2.2-litre diesel, which achieves an impressive 133g/km of CO2. There is a higher-output 187bhp version of the diesel, as well as a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that is comfortably the quickest of the range. If you want the full experience then the more powerful diesel with four-wheel drive and automatic gearbox is the way to go. Land Rover laid on some off-roading for the test drive, and it took only a few hundred metres to dispel any fears about this being a showy on-road poser. The Land Rover off-road genes are clearly there, and the car is capable of more than 99 per cent of its land-dwelling owners are ever likely to go near.

Now a host of younger or revived premium marques are poised to follow JLR by pitching dozens of new models against the big three, whose very ubiquity is taking the shine off their prestige. But the ample horsepower can rock the Range Rover from 0-60 MPH in 5.1 seconds with the quarter mile at 13.7 seconds at 104 mph. This is muscle car territory. Other SUV's don't even come close to this kind of incredible power. The only drawback is that it's a bit of a gas guzzler at 12 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway. The price may be hefty but you are definitely getting the best of the best. 300k car. The supple white leather surrounds you on the seats and the interior panels sport are complemented with stunning wood trim on every side. The exterior has been upgraded with a new bumper and squared off grill and hood. The headlights now have LED's which is a common theme among high end luxury vehicles. Another exterior update is the front fenders which sport cool looking vents. Lots of safety features were implemented in order to keep you and your passengers safe. The vehicle now has all electrical instrumentation.
