Except this was maybe 50 yards long, and the trail through Hidden Canyon is many miles long. The part at the beginning of the video (on the red dirt) is just the far western end of the trail and it's actually easy compared to trails I've driven in Death Valley. Most of Hidden Valley is like the rest of the video as the trail criss-crosses the dry stream bed. As long as you're not in a hurry, it's fine. I did it in a Land Rover LR3 with no problems. After crossing the wash, the road continues. Then, just as the road turns uphill to the left, I knew that I needed to turn right and head down a wash because that's what I saw in the Google satellite imagery. Sure enough, there's a BLM route sign right in the middle of that wash. These roads were not on my Garmin Nuvi or my Toyota navigation system.
