Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting! We got a lot of sports equipment in the trunk too. Next year we will have even more with my youngest son playing as well. It will be interesting to see if I can keep all that organized in my small car. Thanks Rebecca! Being ball season right now we are eating in the car left and right. Lifting up those carseats I found enough food to feed the entire ball team! And it's funny you mentioned crayons because I found 2 in the seat. I would have died if those had melted! Appreciate you stopping by and commenting! The car gets clean and I do good to follow my own rules for 3-4 days and then it becomes disaster area again. Especially being ball season right now - it seems like all my rules flew out the window! But writing this hub was a good reminder for me that I need to do better. Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting! Yes I totally agree about the garbage bag.
This means you can find data for the Ford Focus, Ford brand, and the Ford Motor Company. Or the Jaguar XJ, Jaguar brand, and Jaguar-Land Rover. Or the Porsche Boxster, Porsche brand, and the Volkswagen Group. You get the picture. For users of desktops, laptops, and tablets, this information can be sourced through the dropdown menus at the top right of this page. Begin by selecting a Make - which brings up options for total market size and corporations, as well - and then a second menu will load. Now you're offered specific models, the brand total, and the overarching manufacturer's total, as in the case of Jaguar and the JLR group. The Corporations group fills up with eleven different automobile manufacturers, from the BMW Group through to the Nissan Motor Company and finally the Volkswagen Group. As already mentioned, you can also select the total market size for Canada, the United Kingdom, or the United States. For all users, including those who read GoodCarBadCar on their smartphones, the Sales Stats page offers this very same dropdown menu function.
Land Rover鈥檚 SVO team started with a standard Discovery but finished with something that鈥檚 far more capable off the beaten path. The visual changes aren鈥檛 limited to aesthetic bits designed to attract attention. Rather, the Disco SVX has functionality baked into its new looks. The most noticeable changes happen with the front and rear bumpers. They are restyled to accommodate higher approach and departure angles, giving the Disco SVX a greater capability in climbing rocks and crossing ditches. The front bumper鈥檚 trimmed design also allows for easier access to the recovery hook mounted in the center. Matching recovery hooks protrude from the rear bumper, too, and all three are coated in a hue the SVO team calls 鈥淩ush Orange.鈥?The bright accents continue on the bumpers, the wheels, and the fender vents. Rock sliders below the doors connect the silver color of the front and rear bumpers while giving some much-needed protection from trail damage. Adding to the functionality of the recovery hooks is an electric recovery winch hidden behind the rear bumper and the Discovery鈥檚 optional Trailer Tow package, which includes that two-inch receiver hitch. A big part of off-roading is traction.
This article appeared in the June 1994 LRO 鈥淩are Rover鈥?relating to some of our South African Land Rover heritage. 鈥淟and Rovers have been built in a variety of places other than Solihull ever since the 1950鈥檚, and from time to time this series looks at some of the variants produced overseas. One the least well-known outside its native country is the South African Series IIIS, built by Leyland SA during the first half of the 1980鈥檚 and using two locally-built engines not available in Land Rovers anywhere else in the world. South Africa has never had a motor industry it can call its own. Cars and trucks sold there have almost always been assembled locally from imported CKD (completed knocked down) kits. By the end of the 1970鈥檚, almost all the major European and American manufacturers had assembly plants there, and among them British Leyland, located in Blackheath in the Cape. Here, Leyland SA put together vehicles from kits shipped out from the various Leyland owned companies in Britain.
