Land Rover Katy

Land Rover Katy

Apart from the nozzle on the sprayer blocking quite a few times I managed to get the job pretty well done, well at least I thought I had until I took these pictures. You see it's really black under there now and I didn't want to take a torch under as I was a bit messy by then, as you can see later. Also at this point Rhian had come home and I needed to spend about an hour cleaning myself as you can tell by this picture that she took. The 2 kids cycling past the end of the drive just at this time almost fell of their bikes laughing at the state of me. Didn't know you could still get that, what a blast from the past. I'm afraid I laughed at your predicament in overshooting the ramps and getting the jack stuck! Still, it's a job well done. At least Katy shouldn't rust anymore during the winter - and neither should you, judging by the state of that photo!

Make no mistake about the handsome profile of this amazing vehicle, though. The Discovery 4 may now look more at home prancing around the lush landscapes of the estate but it is still extremely capable and versatile off road. It would not be a Land Rover if it were incapable of meeting the demands of a true off road vehicle but the Discovery 4 delivers with aplomb. It is no secret that Land Rover once belonged to Jaguar as a subsidiary of Ford but the recent acquisition of the Tata Motor Group from India proves to be a defining moment for the British off-road carmaker. The Discovery is now one of those SUV's that provide adequate seating for seven people while still remaining quiet, composed and plush even at the worst conditions. Head down to the nearest Land Rover Defender dealer Colchester to find out how easy it is to drive away in one of the finest SUV's in the market.

Looking at the photos you see a typical scenario. The lines into the rack in the top photo (the most common leak source on many lesser cars) are dry. The yellow paint on the lines in this photo mark the lines and rack as original to the car. This rack is dripping from the input, and the output bellows. As the photo below shows, it鈥檚 the only wet thing on an otherwise remarkably dry undercarriage. It veritably cries out for repair! So what do you do? Your first thought might be to simply buy a new rack. If only you could! At this moment Bentley鈥檚 ability to supply factory-rebuilt or new racks is limited. 3,000 - more than many owners wish to pay for a part that history shows may be worn out and leaking in 15,000 miles. Simple resealing of the racks is not usually a long-term fix because of the bushing wear, which happens amazingly fast on some cars.

The new Defender project has been discussed openly by Land Rover bosses, but confirmation aside, the company is still fairly coy regarding its upcoming off-roader. Our most recent update came in September last year, when Jaguar Land Rover chief execituve Dr Ralf Speth told us that early development mules have already been driven by company bosses. The JLR boss promises that the new car will be 鈥渆ven more capable鈥?than the old Defender when the going gets tough. Jaguar Land Rover boss Dr Ralf Speth has admitted that the basic design and engineering work is now settled enough for him to have tried the new Defender. 鈥淚 have driven test mules already,鈥?he told us last year, 鈥渁nd also tried the car against competitors, in on- and off-road environments. Speth declined to put a timeframe on the Defender鈥檚 debut - it鈥檚 widely tipped to be 2018 at the earliest - but he said, 鈥淚t is coming.

This metric is calculated by tracking millions of unique vehicles over multiple years to determine an average number of visits per year for each make and model. Controls were included to omit small routine visits to shops such as for oil changes. The severity component to reliability measures the probability that a repair will be a major issue. An issue is considered severe if a repair costs three-times the average annual repair cost for all models, an amount deemed prohibitively expensive given the unscheduled nature of the repair. This threshold is higher for premium and luxury brands, which have higher labor rates and parts costs. The probability of a repair being a severe or major issue is 12% for the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, compared to an average of 10% for luxury compact SUVs and 12% for all vehicle models. The average total annual cost for unscheduled repairs and maintenance across all model years of a vehicle.
