The Cover Comes Off Very Easily

The Cover Comes Off Very Easily

The 2015 LR4 does not have the standard oil drain plug. And the oil filter isn't mounted on the bottom of the engine. It's on top. There's also no physical dip-stick. I think they started this around MY2013. Here's a photo of the top of the engine. And here it is with the plastic cover removed. The cover comes off very easily. It's soft-snapped onto the plastic spheres and "C" shape parts mate with 2 posts at the rear. Here's a photo showing the oil filter location. Removing the oil filler cap reveals a central tube that runs to the bottom of the oil sump. LR4 owners change their own oil by first pumping out the oil through that central tube using a MityVac pump. I'll order mine soon. Here's a very helpful youtube video by Umberto Bonfante. He lives near me, but I've yet to meet him, or even see his rig. I learn a lot from his posts to the various Land Rover forums.

Land Rover Discovery 3/4 and Range Rover Sports L320 are both impressive in terms of style, power and personality. However, there are some common problems experienced by owners of both vehicles. If you planning to buy any of them or rather find it difficult to decide as to which one you should opt for, then you are at the right destination. There's popular belief that Land Rovers are expensive to repair and suffer lots of problems. However, the notion is absurd. Maybe, it is due to the fact that some random rumours have been spread by some jealous souls, who will ever know. Calling it that Holder vs Ford story won't be an exaggeration. Well, you have to understand that Four Wheel Drives are complex vehicles with extra parts added. As for a big Japanese 4x4, the cost of repair is going to be little higher when it breaks down. The cost of a part varies a great deal, sometimes cheaper, sometimes quite expensive.

The black body is in good condition, I couldn't find a flaw, and the dual beige and ivory velour interior is clean and also in mint condition. The black leather steering wheel offers driving comfort, and this handy ride even has a roof rack for loading skis, bikes or whatever! Good tires on alloy wheels are also part of this attractive wagon. Great for a family, student, commuter or anyone at all. Score it here at Interstate Auto Auction! The metallic sage green body of this 500 is in excellent condition, I was hard pressed to find a flaw. The beige leather interior is also mint, soft and supple. The leather steering wheel also feels good to the touch, and the wood tone console and accents add color and even more style to this attractive ride. It has a sunroof, tinted windows and comes with good tires on alloy wheels. A sweet 500 that you can own for an incredibly low price when you amake the winning public auction bid! This automatic 4 cylinder Elantra is perfect for a student, commuter or anyone who drives.

It's not easy to make a small crossover look muscular without resorting to caricature, but Kia has done a fine job with the Sportage's buff body. The LED tail lights and HID headlights that come with the SX trim further add to the vehicle's 'class-above' looks, and there's none of the anonymity that one sometimes encounters at the more affordable end of the family spectrum. Opening the door to the Kia Sportage's cabin starts to dispel some of that near-luxury image. While there's nothing terrible about the Sportage's dashboard, switchgear, or general presentation, it doesn't quite live up to the promise of its well-sculpted sheet metal. The 2015 Kia Sportage does not introduce any new comfort or cargo features. Despite its modest exterior proportions, the 2015 Kia Sportage offers acceptable amounts of passenger and cargo room. The second row will be fine for most adults, although as with any compact SUV you'll want to be sitting up front on longer trips.

Now, here is what to look for based on your year Rover. Everything covered here is for the L322 Land Rover body style, years 2003 to 2009, with 03 to 06 as the most common. NO SPORT issues are covered here, as they are not prone to this problem. According to Land Rover, you need your VIN to determine the exact replacement. That would be nice. While a VIN is helpful, it is not definite. Beware of those who say only a portion of your VIN is need. With the entire VIN, I can either know the part needed with certainty, or if further visual inspection is needed. But, if you are just looking to buy the correct part, here are the general guidelines. For 2003 to 2005: The actual part number of the new replacement is QMB500711. This is new. If you are looking at used, then I have seen this part number on a column not compatible with these years.
